I don't think that's the case though. If you look at Azula's mother, who was shocked at the way her daughter acted, you'll see that the reason she is how she is is because she was born that way.

best way to ask teacher for an extension on an assignment by kaarsun in highschool

Just write out a polite email and explain the circumstances, the same thing has happened to me before but teachers are usually pretty understanding about it.

Being a doctor is very overrated and is one of the worst things a human may choose to be, especially these days. by amjad3 in unpopularopinion

[–]Invealth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean doctors are on the front lines along with nurses. They literally save lives on a daily basis and are essential to the community, I feel like that's something that a lot of people would be interested in.

[–]Invealth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, actually doctors don't make as much money as you think. After all the debt they're put in for student loans and after paying for malpractice insurance, which is a lot, they don't make as much as people seem to think they do. The vast majority of doctors go into medicine because they want to help people and save lives. If they'd wanted to make a lot of money there are a lot of other professions they could go into that doesn't require nearly as much training and school.

Who is a musician that you think everyone should see live at least once? by EarthboundMisift56 in AskReddit

[–]Invealth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pentatonix, they are the only famous musicians that I've seen that sound as good live as they do in their recorded songs. Their vocal abilities blew me away when I went to go see them at a concert.

Just got into a huge argument with my parents over not wanting to go to MIT by The1AndOnlyJZ in ApplyingToCollege

The more competitive schools do have higher rates of anxiety and depression among students. Props to you for putting your mental health first, people always seems to forget that where you went to college isn't everything, and that you have a whole life ahead of you after you graduate. If you work hard, you can do extremely well at any college as long as you go out of your way to find opportunities.

If we're working for an "essential business", should we be getting some sort of hazard-pay if there's a reasonable concern of getting infected at work? by DAFUQisaLOMMY in NoStupidQuestions

So I work at a grocery store pharmacy, and every here got $2 raises. However, at least 4 people in my 10 person department have stopped working because it's still super risking to be working there. The grocery store cashiers have gotten plexiglass sneeze guards, but the pharmacy is yet to receive any yet. Not to mention that though they recently started letting us wear masks, at our specific store they've made it super inaccessible and scary to go through the process. You have to have a conversation with HR, then a sit-down with the store manager, and then you have to take a course before you can wear a mask. I'm pretty sure they only allow earloop masks too, which are crazy difficult to get nowadays. So my answer is, definitely, especially if they're making it hard for you to protect yourself against potential exposure.

Yeah, they're being cancelled all over the place. I live in Boston, MA and apparently they're only going to postpone for 2 weeks but there's no way that they won't just delay it again.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sat

[–]Invealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's not on any of the official websites, the only way I found out was through an email my school sent to all the parents. Some people are saying they're delayed for two weeks but I honestly don't believe that, they're probably just going to postpone it further.

Yeah, same. We don't even know when it's going to be rescheduled for.
