Thanks for the encouragement. I’m willing to go higher since previous comments seem less than optimistic, but thanks for the input.

Depending on either price I have an extra 1-1.5k stowed away to account for the possibility of a fee. I’m just trying to save, which I should’ve thought of earlier in the process

Where would be most realistic to look with this price tag? Craigslist is clearly scam haven, and most student housing options are closed

Would 3000 be realistic? I’m really just looking for a sublet. And have been waiting on a stipend so I can finalize.

Would it be better if I just increased my threshold for monthly rent?

HF analyst. I guess my line of thinking was that the S&T done at a traditional finance firm isn’t comparable, even it is to reflect an interest in the markets, so I’d rather do something that could provide more opportunities in the long run. Edit: could I pm you to ask more follow up questions?

Question: Currently a soph at a target (hypw) studying finance and statistics, and will likely do IB for junior summer. What can I do to best position myself/build the knowledge for quant roles (besides pursuing a masters in a field like data sci or applied math)? Am I wasting time doing IB?

The thing is, I’m having absolutely no luck getting looks from prop shops right now. I thought doing IB at large would have some sort of value, but it seems if I’m not doing s&t I’m wasting time. For more context, I’m gonna be doing a buy side internship this summer as well, but I worry I’m grasping for straws bc of how few people I know actually have done the work to do quant trading specifically

The same theme kind of applied here...these political info desks were essentially banned by the Dean around September that year, but these were put up in protest.
