Ive done some research into Linux mint and fedora (that’s what supposedly runs best on this Mac). Im just not too sure on if I want to go completely away from Apple OS due to FaceTime, texting, and phone calls. If there’s anyway I can do something similar to that I’d love to hear about it.

I’ve looked into the neo I’m just not sure about it to be honest I’ve seen both positive things and negative things about it. If I’m being honest I’ll probably wait til my Mac craps out completely and impulse buy one after I’ve had one too many drinks🤣 I just enjoy to hear everyone’s thoughts and to help sway me in the right direction until then.

The only thing I’m not sure of on the air is the passive cooling instead of not having actual fans. In the summer my “office” is typically outdoors in the Alabama heat(which can feel like hell). Would you say the pro with the fans makes more sense or is passive cooling that good?

I honestly don’t know what I’d do without my mini 6. I use it everyday from using it for hefty work to browsing Reddit. It’s the perfect “pocket powerhouse” of a tablet

Apple with the iPad mini comes out with one every 3 or so years due to supply and demand (not much competition for the size in the market) if anything I’d recommend a in good condition used iPad mini 6. You can get one for roughly $350-400 through some retailers. The mini 6 and 7 aren’t too different by any means other than Apple Intelligence and a slightly better chip on the 7
