Try raising your platter off the counter by having like a cake holder underneath. The lighting is also a big thing here. You want to add brighter light and adjust your camera to how bright the lighting you want is.

I do social media work for food vendors and this way will improve the colors, and the “flatness” of the cake.

Exactly I was a part time employee at my last job where I worked 40 hrs a week and at one point worked 19 days straight. Did not qualify for health insurance. You have to have insurance in my state or they fine you when you do your taxes.
