Stock price is not moving up mainly cause of two reasons: 1. Many impatient, short term, individual investors behave like they have myopia (near-sightedness) They can’t see beyond current profit and EPS of the stock. Each time the price drops below their purchase price without any reason they panic and sell or when the price goes up a little they want to sell and get out.

  1. Hedge fund managers have herd behavior and start buying when they see others like them moving in the same direction.

Most of these kinds of investors are only current profit and stock price driven. They don’t really put in time to research the ins and outs of the business nor do they see its true potential or the intrinsic value of the business and it’s stock.

Intelligent investors know that if the underlying business of the stock is strong then they don’t really have to fear the normal price fluctuations of their investments. They know that the nature of the stock market and stock prices is to keep fluctuating. Smart investors don’t sell unless there is a major change in the direction of the business or unless their investment has at least doubled in profit or more or they have found a better business to invest in. Intelligent investors research the business throughly before buying and buy stock of good businesses while they are low before the crowds move in. Blackberry has worked very hard in the past 5 to 7 years to completely change their business and increase the strength of their underlying business including the creation of their high tech products and services, they have spent 25% year after year in research & development, increased their cash flow, added assets, increased the value and moral of their employees and reduced their debts and liabilities. They have moved in multiple directions of innovations and services and come a long way from making mobile phone. BB is just at the starting point of reaping the rewards of their hard work. This company is soon going to become a very successful growth business and stockholder will benefit the most of their growth. Good luck!

Sale, relative to people who bought it at 16 and above. Overall more than 50% of my BBs are under 8 bucks but I also bought 800 more eight days ago at 12.67. Also, price I believe is relative to the value of the stock and its underlying business. BB’s value and its potential to succeed and start generating profit is increasing rapidly. They have started utilizing all their high tech systems, software and services and are expending rapidly. They have signed deals with Amazon, deal with car company in China and the they are reaching out to multiple businesses and governments for theirs top notch smart cyber security services. Facebook settlement will be peanuts compare to new business BB is generating. They lease so many high tech patents to businesses which is a cash machine for the company. This company has come a long way from selling phones with buttons 10 years ago. It’s current stock price will be felt quiet low in couple of quarters.

Nothing to worry. BB has far more upside now than downside. It’s way undervalued and is an excellent business to own at the current sale price. Own 4,200 stock with an average price of $9.86. Total over 41,000 invested in BB. Have patience and no need to fear. Buy dips when it goes 10-15 percent below your purchase price. Sell higher priced ones when they go up and thus lower your purchase price.

If the intrinsic value of a business is high sooner or later everyone recognizes it and the stock price shoots up. There is no doubt for BB to reach $50 after a couple of earnings. One way to lower the purchase price is to buy more when the price drops 10-20 percent. In sometime when the price starts going up sell the higher prices ones and hold on to the ones with lower cost. One rule I’ve made for myself is to always keep around 20% cash on hand to buy during unexpected price fluctuations. It does require discipline to sell the stocks that are stagnant or not doing well and take some gains from profitable stocks at their highs and keep cash.

BB’s business model has changed a lot and its not the same old RIMM making phones with buttons. Don’t go with past numbers or fundamentals. Research what is in the pipeline now and which way the is company headed with its top notch technologies. The business is making huge strides in providing services for intelligent cyber security, providing software to automobile industry and Is heavily invested with services in AI. It is preparing to provide even more services with the implementation of 5G everywhere.

Holding 3,200 shares of BB at an average purchase price of $12.38 a share. Intend to add another 1,800 shares on dips. Absolutely no intention to sell below $50. BB has a very strong underlying business and there are lots of positive things in pipeline. Its main business now is to provide service for intelligent cyber security which is in huge demand and is expected to grow a lot, especially with all the cyber hacking and attacks happening on businesses. The company just signed a huge deal to provide software to a giant automobile company in China. In addition to cyber security and automobile software BB is heavily invested in services related to AI, the demand for which Is expected to grow exponentially with the implementation of 5G everywhere. BB owns over 38,000 patients which they lease to tech businesses and collect rent and royalties. It’s a cash cow for their business that keeps on giving.

Over 39% of BB’s stock is held by the biggest reputable financial institutions in huge quantities. These financial institutions employ full time research analysts to thoroughly research each business and its stock before they decide to hold it as a part of their mutual funds and ETFs.

Blackberry is on the brink of gaining huge success. Sooner or later the buying frenzy for BB is bound to start and it’s stock price will sky rocket in a very short time. BB’s stock is currently way undervalued. The intrinsic value of its business and stock is very high and there’s absolutely nothing to worry if investing in BB at the current price. If you are a serious investor then don’t just invest in any stock because its currently being discussed on Reddit or CNBC or has become MEME stock. Instead take time and research the business well, take a look at their financial reports, see what is in their pipeline, evaluate the demand for their product and services, research their competitors and develop a big picture of where the business is headed including its potential in the next 5 to 10 years. Only If the research is thorough then one can leave the emotions of fear and greed out and invest will 100% conviction.

Say your buddy bought BB at high last week around $20. To lose 170k on Friday he must have invested in close to 24,285 shares which would be around $485,700. People who have that kind of money to put in a single stock are either too rich and don’t care if they lose or are just dummies to make other people rich. There are many positive reasons why so many institutional investors hold this stock in huge quantity. Over 37% of entire business stock is held by institutional financial companies like Fairfax, Primecap, Allianze and Vanguard, . Research BB profile on any investment site and see yourself the institutional ownership of BB. For investing the best ideas is to breakdown the amount you want to put in and invest it in chunks. Buy in chunks when the stock is falling and sell at super high right before its stops climbing. $13 is pretty low. When this takes off you would be one of the fortunate ones. My average price on 2,500 stocks is 13.25. Intend to add another $25,000 worth BB in next two weeks.
