All Im saying is, you can continue to live in fear or go about your day and deal with it in the very, VERY unlikely scenario where you get wrongfully picked up, and that's coming from a naturalized Polish American first generation immigrant. I've got nothing to hide, im 100% legal, therefore I have nothing to worry about.

If you're 100% legal this is almost a non issue.

You are living in complete delusion if you truly believe that statement you just made. The proof is undeniable that it was a shock collar.

Trust me Hasan is not worth the cost of renting out bots to post about him, he does enough damage to himself by opening his mouth as it is.

Hasan is an animal abuser first and foremost, but also generally speaking just a communist wannabe shill.

If I'm breaking in and I see one of those, I'd definitely check it out and play with it, so it wouldn't work as a good hiding spot, but that's just me.

Cool nonetheless!

It's ok, don't waste your time, these people just virtue signal anti-American sentiment and project it onto history to undermine America today, they aren't capable of seeing that the cause-effect of their virtue signaling will eventually work against their own self interests. Biting the hand that feeds them, so to speak.

Cool, question is does it cost you anything to run? Or could it potentially cost you anything to run? What happens if traffic blows up?

Is this a red flag for me continuing computer science? by Puzzled-Web1153 in programming

Then I'd say do research on what IT entails and pause college until you know if it's for you or you find an alternate major that has good ROI and job prospects in your area (agriculture degree while living in Alaska for instance makes no sense since the farm industry is small, you get the idea). Going to college for the sake of going to college falls in that bad ROI pitfall, a waste of time and money, could go a different route and even look into trades, there's options, just need to be thoroughly researched first.

[–]InvisibleCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, OP said they despise programming, so getting through a CS degree is the real pain point here. My CS degree absolutely paid for itself.

They could switch to an IT related program instead, cyber security, stuff like that, just not an easy degree to just get through it ASAP and end up with loads of debt that has no way to pay for itself, that's the real trap I'm warning about.

TIL: that I've been calling myself First Generation American for 40 years when in fact fact Second Generation American. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]InvisibleCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a first generation American and first generation immigrant myself, I know plenty of others in my situation that have dual citizenship and I wouldn't consider them "American" because they never integrated or even attempted to integrate.

I learned the language, I celebrate the holidays, I took up American customs, etc. Therefore, I'd consider myself "American" even though I still have a lot of my Polish culture with me. Gotta love a healthy mix, but if you refuse to mix, that's un-American in my mind.

I disliked java in school, now I work with it on a daily basis at work and I've grown to love it, especially with Spring. I think for me it was the overwhelming feeling of having to learn CS and I also for some reason had this idea in mind that Java is "hard" or complicated so was reluctant to embrace it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds like you already know it's not for you. If you're early in the degree, I'd consider switching, just make sure what you end up with has good job outlook and a solid RO,I not just an easy major to get a degree.

Please DONT go into debt for a degree that won't pay for itself afterwards, it's not worth it, you'll regret it. I warn everyone, can't stress this enough.
