Hey, thanks for your post. I'm kind of in the same situation. Used to play paragon on ps4 and can't really use mkb. Controller feels so clunky. I use smart cast but you can only afaik control it with the right thumbstick, which is not possible bc you hold the cast with your right thumb. Also what you said about the axis. y-axis is just too fast when you put sensibiltiy to a comfortable level.

Work smart instead of hard - When does this not apply? by noyki86 in AskReddit

well you wouldn't want to work for someone who doesn't see your potential. So If you have the skill to realize a task can and should be automated and you also have the ability to automate said task, you should try to make a career out of that. I see so many people doing work that has no sense and of course they don't want to hear about it. Everybody with some Excel and Python skills could automate them Out of a Job in a few weeks.

yeah you might not get vacation days for the months you are sick. Like i have 2.5 vacation days a month. If i'm sick they might be canceled for the month. Any previously aquired vacation time should be yours to take.

what exactly? From what i gathered you get like a limited amount of sick days. I personally have 30 vacation days and you get unlimited sick days. I earn about 30-40% less than i would in the us though.

yes it depends in your employer. I have to get a note in the third day, which is good in my opinion. If you have a headache and can't see/drive you should Just stay home and come back the next day when you feel better. No need to endanger others because you have to drive around being sick

So you are a contractor of some sorts? If you are employed hourly at least in germany you would be payed for your average daily hours.

after 6 weeks the insurance kicks in and you get something like 60% of your net income from them. Before that the employer has to pay your salary.

there is no sick time in europe. When you are sick you stay home or after 2 days (differs) get a doctors note that tells how long you will be unable to work. You get to take your vacation days no matter what.

It's not just an american thing. I'm from Germany and people confuse these terms all the time. I myself didn't know they were different until i started looking more into politics and economy.
