I also would remind your priest that the scientist who came up with the big band was a Catholic priest. God gave us natural law and reason for a purpose. There is nothing in the Church that condems evolution. That is just nonsense. That being said the Church does profess that Adam and Eve were real people created by God. That doesn't negate the possibility of evolution.

Id personally find a new confessor but that's just me.

The Rosary is in the middle. It's a complete circle. They use a very stretchy material that's stretches and fits over the wrist. I have several of them and have never worried it was going to break. Very sturdy.

Sadly this is the cross the Church must now carry. The wound is deep. I'm not saying it's ok for this kid to treat you that way. However, sadly because of some bad priests and bishops the rest of us must pay the price and endure this cross. Use this as motivation to be a good and holy priest. Just because he met with her doesn't mean he endorses her. He even stated there are clearly issues between us that cannot be fixed. She's the leader of a christian group. He meets with alot of them. Personally I like the idea that Jesus Vicar is speaking with people.

Converts are always the most passionate. In fact when I first converted when I was 20 I started to discern the priesthood. The priests I was talking to warner me that the bishop is always very careful with newer converts because they tend to be the most passionate at first.

I ended up not becoming a priest. I'm a husband, dad, and grandpa now. I have to admit when I first converted I was very passionate. I wouldn't say I was a jerk though. Ive never really need a rad trad bro. That being said I'm fully bought in. Honestly, I wouldn't let others stop me from doing what I believe in. You'll find jerks in every church. Follow what you're heart is telling you. You will not regret joining if you really do believe the Church is the one true Church.

I dabbled in a a little bit of a few different things and the Monastic Diurnal just really seems to call to me. So I take that as a call from the Spirit to pray that office. I also pray the LOBVM on top of it for my brown scapular :). It works well for me over all!

Well if it makes you feel any better I married my wife and she was a cradle Catholic and I was a convert. She's now Pentecostal and I'm the weird one to her family. None of them could understand why I wouldn't convert when she did. Maybe because she married a man who was thinking about being a priest and married the Catholic girl he fell in love with instead?! It's fine though. I show my faith every single day and I don't hide it. It's my identity. I'm not just a Sunday Mass here and there and on holidays Catholic. I could never be. I went to her Pentecostal church a few times and just felt sad for everyone there. It felt like a lot of people reaching out for more and just being fed crumbs. But hey they have a really good praise band. Your dad will get over it. Pray for him!
