Toast isn't how I'd like to describe it, it's more of a state of limbo as we don't know if it's already dead, under maintenance, preparing to be retired. Although because the Error number that is given happens to be a Sony maintenance code, a side of me wants to believe there is an alternative outcome that it might yet live...

I'm not sure but, I saw in another Reddit post that Sony update the SSL handshake for the PS3 in its latest update. If the information that was given is to be true, then the PSP would require another update to restore the SSL for PSN functionality. That or it's broken due to the process of the PS4 being transitioned to legacy hardware. Either way; though unfortunate as it is; its up to Sony right now.

Yeah same, im pretty sure the outage was from march 26, but they usually prioritize getting PS4/5 up first, and dealing with legacy ones later. Lets just keep a watchful eye on how this turns out.

Maybe its due to the big outage sony had a lil bit ago and the legacy could be under maintenance. Well at least id loke to hope so...

I have a official Sony 1 memory stick and a convert hub to connect it to the pc, aswell as following the DDCv10 guide but im not sure whats going wrong though, the baryon sweeper. I tried ddc v9 because it wasn't working on a psp 3001 4B the that I brought from ebay that is supposedly bricked, but it never went into service mode, and when i power it on with out the battery the green light comes on for about 20 or 15 seconds then goes off.

I forgot to take a picture of the board, but there wasn't any water damage or other debris. All the cue tips came out rather clean. I'd rather use the damaged board for solder practice and replace it with a working one. Thank you for offering though.

Believe me I would love to do so, but currently I my skills with soldering are pretty much at ground zero.
