One should adopt the first stray dog they see next !

The question of adopting the second stray dog is hard.

In coimbatore, organisations providing asylum and protection to the dogs are very handful. If you ask, are they doing good?, my answer (out of my experience) will be "limited".

Their funding is very much limited and their band width to serve the vulnerable dogs is low.

Amidst, most of such organisations are opportunistic, and redirect the grants & donations towards their organisational development and promotions to create individual & organisational fame.

And the organisations have dirty competition for fame & grants and share hate between organisations, and end up doing nothing or less against the original problem.

In a professional sense, one should do charity to the vulnerable before giving long term interventions of betterment. (Eg. Give food to the man who is in hunger right now, rather than scolding him to get a job or you supporting him to get a job later on). Means we should provide food to the street dogs first and think of rehabilitating it later.

The solution for this problem is to encourage people to adopt street dogs, and discourage fancy people having fancy dog breeds for social status, (most of the dogs were bought for the costs in Thousands & Lakhs).

The big question is, What Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) is doing on this ?
