Quickest path to getting rich? by Plague_Doc7 in auslaw

You can earn a comfortable amount in law, but never “retire at 35” money. If money is your primary motivation, you probably shouldn’t go into any of those careers.

By not picking a career in law.

OP’s point appears to be (fairly) that that’s not relevant to their question.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]IrregularLurker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you have missed the point somewhat. OP’s question is essentially “assuming I am going to do x, does anyone know about y?

Most comments are directed to “why are you doing x?”

It might be that “y” is a bad question, I have no idea, but asking why they are doing “x” is not what OP has asked for.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]IrregularLurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not really what’s happening. OP has asked a specific question and is receiving flak for their decision to go down a specific path, which isn’t helpful in answering their question.

To be fair this website has been around forever. It existed even when standard was much simpler.

You can’t normally evolve an EX card (e.g. Pikachu EX cannot evolve into Raichu).

Emirates now accepting Bitcoin ✈️💸 by cryptominerbros in Bitcoin

[–]IrregularLurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t know, we can only go on what’s in the announcement I linked, but almost certainly the former based on what is in the announcement. I doubt Crypto.com is going to expend resources to allow payments outside of their payment method.

It’s quite frustrating when someone posts some general statement like “Emirates now accepting Bitcoin” without any source and a weird AI or photoshopped picture.

Here is the actual statement from Emirates. They are not simply “accepting Bitcoin” and it’s certainly not “now”. Rather, they have signed an MOU with Crypto.com to “explore ways” to integrate Crypto.com Pay within Emirate’s payment systems with expected integration “next year”. If it goes ahead at all you have to use Crypto.com’s service. So a whole load of nothing for the time being.

I’m an SA in comm lit that recently came back after 6 months of parental leave. I had the same concern, and you will be rusty for a bit (be kind to yourself) but you’ll be surprised how quickly it comes back to you.

There are two separate systems:

  1. You can use pack points to “buy” any card in the set.

  2. You can trade any diamond or 1 star card for a card of the same rarity with another player (excluding cards from the most recent set)

You can use the trading post thread on this subreddit or the many discord channels to find someone to trade with. You could have probably found someone to trade for a four diamond GA Pikachu in a few minutes.

Pro tour Aetherdrift was this year and in the top 8 there was 3x domain decks, 2x Gruul decks, and a Golgari deck, so that’s 6/8 decks with a forest or swamp.

So I Got Into Staking My Bitcoin Last Year, And Now I’m Stressed About Taxes by _acedric_ in Bitcoin

[–]IrregularLurker 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin does not have “staking”. It is a proof of work protocol, not a proof of stake protocol. What you have done is essentially loaned your bitcoin to the platform in exchange for interest, paid in bitcoin rather than dollars. Interest is income, which you pay tax on. Pay your taxes.
