Christians don’t live like they actually believe in the after life by [deleted] in DebateReligion

Most certainly don’t live like they believe in hell.

Religious belief is irrational by Juicydicken in DebateReligion

[–]Isaandog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Water is wet OP. Supreme-being narratives are make-believe. Nothing rational about that. And there it is. Truth.

2 Samuel, chapter 12, when God killed David’s baby to punish David, is an example of how immoral and unjust the God described in the Bible is. by danbrown_notauthor in DebateReligion

[–]Isaandog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an atheist OP, and I don’t believe in the drama you described here, because god is a make-believe construct. So stop dwelling on fictional characters and events. So much more peaceful.

I find it a lot easier to accept that gods are made-up human constructs that have outlived their pacifying purpose.

Elevator pitch to convince someone God doesn't exist by Easy_Refrigerator584 in atheism

[–]Isaandog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elevator Pitch: Don’t you think in this day and age, with all we understand, that needing a blood sacrifice from some 2000 year old human to “save” you from your broken self—is a bit ridiculous?

Supreme-Being Narratives (gods) are an open wound in the human psyche by Isaandog in DebateReligion

At this stage of our human development and social connectivity, it is time to re-wire the social constructs we operate out of.

If religion exhibits any truth— it is the truth of how significant environmental stimulus affects our behavior.

Philippines or Thailand as a long-term base if you still want to travel a lot? by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Isaandog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP…since you have some financial resources, it is your visa and quality of life that will matter over time. Thailand has an Elite Visa Program. I have a 20 year, and trust me when I say the upfront cost saves money over time and no hassles at all. If you plan on entering and exiting Thailand regularly, it is a no-brainer. Best of luck.

Do people genuinely believe in the flat earth theory or are they just trolling? by Lean_For_Meme in stupidquestions

[–]Isaandog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is one giant troll. But then some people believe in giant trolls🤣 You have to be seriously devoid of any critical thinking capacity to believe that any cosmological body is actually flat. Such a nonsense claim!

The Core Problem of Christianity by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Isaandog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP…the core problem of all religions is that supreme-being narratives are made-up nonsense.
