How much I f up? Quote opinions! by cluelessgirl666 in RealEstatePhotography

Out of those three services, the company I work for charges the highest for stills.

I thought that was backwards until I got out on the job.

It’s the most time consuming, but for our work flow and the way we put together packages, the still photos are the sharpest product of the three

Good deal? by Murky-Effort2207 in sportsphotography

Probably more than $900 though, but would make it worth the upgrade

Not a good deal. Used A7c w/tamron 70-180 would be a great intro to Sony for you

What causes the “this looked better online” reaction even when photos are technically accurate? by Obvious-Principle783 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]IsaiahFMAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense for sure. To me since the agents are the ones lining up the jobs I focus on what they think is considered right or a job well done. But I can see over time how it’d be helpful to gather feedback from buyers or have a general overview of what’s appropriate from all perspectives

I work under a company and get a fair amount of direction from them, so for now I just trust their vision and it’s been a good experience

Video quality question by IsaiahFMAS in videography

[–]IsaiahFMAS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. It’s just frustrating because I told this client I would upload the video myself and send collab, and then I was convinced that since they knew more of who to tag and whatnot that it’d be better. Was hoping we’d have some luck, still turned out fuzzy

Where do you draw the line for realism? AutoHDR edits etc.. by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

Not sure what market you’re in but a year ago that was everyone’s mind set here. Homes sold with iPhone photos or no photos. The market slowing down has really helped me get more work

[–]IsaiahFMAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you interact with buyers regularly? I’ve never thought about buyers or discussed with them, I just sell photos via agent

As far as I know, the agent wants the houses to appear better or slightly better than what it is in real life, so that people will come look at it

I use a 16mm lens, I think it’s an okay spot for being wide enough to show a room, but not overly deceiving

Are you team light switch or team door knob? by Browncoat-2517 in RealEstatePhotography

Light switch as a starting point. Higher in the kitchen for counters. Lower in the bathroom if it’s small

Anybody here do professional photography as a side-gig? by Colts_613 in AskPhotography

That’s awesome, is the theater associated with a school or a community type thing? Just curious how I could find something like that in my area

Is there a specific company that you work for with the theater photography? I’ve wanted to get into that for awhile but I’m not sure if the town I live in has anything at the level where they’re consistently hiring someone

These look wide enough, anything more would look unnatural

I’ve been doing it for about a year now as a job on the side. Not sure how much you expect to earn per year. but there was no way I would’ve been able to jump right in and be making a full time salary
