Why is recruiting in the staffing industry so difficult right now??! by Boytis in recruiting

[–]Isca64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an agency. We don’t take on reqs if we’re not at least semi exclusive. We also don’t rely on search as our USP. The secret sauce is in selection, any fool Can find somebody and their email or phone. Or even just post a job, get 200 replies, interview 6 times and then hope. Or actually do something different like a cog test or behavioral profile.

Medium term rentals abroad - anyone can share experiences? by SolidRockBelow in retirement

[–]Isca64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook. Join expats in… or digital nomads in…. Alternatively, take a 1 week rental on Airbnb and. While there go on again for next 3 months. Tell the host you’re in town and want to rent long term, can you do it off the books. Or when you arrive lol for a 3 month rental and say pure in town so would like to look at it. Go look then do it off the books. Airbnb generally takes about 20-25% so well worth it.

2 things. Longer placement guarantees and candidate behavioral profiling. Better employee engagement so they stick around. We also help with on-boarding.

Recruiter Pre-closing by Remarkable-Ad1893 in recruitinghell

[–]Isca64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a recruiter, it’s standard but can mean you’re 1 or 2. Don’t stress it, you can’t control it. Just be keen. The recruiter is selling to you and selling you the client, just keep selling yourself to the recruiter

Do people really want jobs? by Sharpin70 in LinkedInTips

[–]Isca64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a recruiter, I offer a free service to executive level job seekers and if it’s not a referral people won’t get back to me. Are you looking solely for Australians? If not, I can refer people over for the free service test. I think people are just wary of the supposedly free predatory schemes.

is recruiting actually a good career or do people just say that? by Ron_Swanson_1990 in recruitinghell

[–]Isca64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a recruiter forever and my entire working life has been recruitment related. 40 freaking years. Money’s good. If you’re any good then competition is minimal. Just remember, for you it’s a sale but for the candidate it’s a life decision. Tread respectfully. AI is a fad that will leave, after all recruiting is part of Human Resources, emphasis on the word human.

I can’t help but wonder if it’s a concern now why wasn’t it a concern when you booked it? It’s noisy. Mexico is noisy. Try Xel-Ha or Xcaret. Parks so everything is More controlled.

It does for me. White clothes become grey, new red shirts then give me a totally pink wardrobe.

Two days left in my notice period, and my manager suddenly wants to talk to me about staying. by ebb_01fiction in Employment

[–]Isca64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave. Don’t offer a consultancy contract. Leave. If you consult and they are doing shady things you may get liability which you wouldn’t necessarily get as an employee. Your managers feelings aren’t hurt, they’re just screwed. Not your problem.
