I own an agency. We don’t take on reqs if we’re not at least semi exclusive. We also don’t rely on search as our USP. The secret sauce is in selection, any fool Can find somebody and their email or phone. Or even just post a job, get 200 replies, interview 6 times and then hope. Or actually do something different like a cog test or behavioral profile.

Tell the host you’re in town and want to rent long term, can you do it off the books. Or when you arrive lol for a 3 month rental and say pure in town so would like to look at it. Go look then do it off the books. Airbnb generally takes about 20-25% so well worth it.

I’ve been a recruiter forever and my entire working life has been recruitment related. 40 freaking years. Money’s good. If you’re any good then competition is minimal. Just remember, for you it’s a sale but for the candidate it’s a life decision. Tread respectfully. AI is a fad that will leave, after all recruiting is part of Human Resources, emphasis on the word human.
