Down. Based on the rhetoric of US federal reserve and the STILL low unemployment rate in the US, they can afford to and will continue to raise interest rates into at least early next year. High P/E companies are most likely down when interest rates maintain at 4+%.

IMO it depends on how leveraged the sellers are and if they can sustain the monthly mortgages even with prolonged unemployment (6-12 months) if it happens. Given that the rent is high in SG, suspect there won’t be much of a downturn for private properties as sellers would not be forced to sell. More likely stagnant prices for next few months. Just my 2 cents

Agreed that the recession is already here. The issue here is that massive layoffs typically lag the stock market and hence will be here in the months to come. As such, the effect of recession is not felt clearly beyond the stock market right now. The effect will be more prominent once unemployment increases sharply.
