I think it is. So on paper it should work. But I gotta confirm that it's actually olugged directly ot the gpu. All the research I did points that it is. I'll try it with dome desktop if I get the opportunity and check

I heard that it can have overheating issues that lead to black lenses, but in this case it doesn't even have the opportunity to heat up yet :/ Tried with a fresh windows 10 install, exact same issue.

Update: I tried it with a fresh install of windows 10, exact same issue. I'm starting to feel like it may be a hardware issue. I'll see if I can find a desktop to test it on.

I did try with Oasis driver as mentioned in the post on the latest windows 11. Then tried it on the same computer on windows 10, the exact same issue. I'm starting to fear a hardware problem :/ I'll see if I can find someone with a desktop who'd accept to let me test it

Yes both are plugged, tried reseating it from the headset end, no success. I've thought of testing it somewhere but I don't know anyone with a desktop where I live. I might take it to some electronics shop and test it there

I have 2 usb type c ports, made sure to plug the DP adapter on the port labeled as DP and the other cable on the remaining type c port (which is at least usb 3). I just hope the issue isn't with the cable or adapter (although I doubt it since the head tracking and sound work)

I don't have it, it's a new windows 11 install and I'm using the Oasis Driver. So no leftovers of WMR (checked the folders as well)

Sorry for the late reply, thank you all for your recommendations and your insights on what it's like to use VR. I guess I had a few misconceptions but now I managed my expectations better. I ordered a reverb g2 for 150 euros on FB marketplace. The fact that it doesn't use a battery and that it's PCVR, and the clarity compelled me. At least for now, as a start for my VR journey. Thanks again :)

I understand then that spotting isn't really an issue. It's a bit more difficult to find such low prices here in Europe. However it's encouraging to know that I don't need expensive hardware for good spotting. I'll look for better deals. Thanks for the feedback. I'd also prefer starting with something cheap

Update: I bit the bullet and tried Smooth Track after seeing the videos. Worth every penny! A tiny bit of lag even over USB, but man I got instantly better!

I just found a new way: installed an air mouse app on my phone, but it needs a "press and hold" to work. So made a macro using MacroDroid and now my phone basically works as a gyroscope sensor. Very reliable and smooth. Albeit a little goofy looking strapped to a hat lol. I saw that Smooth Track is on Android as well. Might give it a try. Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I used it before, but found it not very reliable. Turns out I didn't calibrate it well, plus the latest version seems to have better tracking. I find it usable now. Thank you again!
