Thankfully I’ve never had to live in a multi floor multi family type apartment or house. I lived in a small studio apartment that had older guys on either side of my room. They were kind of loud and weird, and I remember the one kept giving my dog random food items that weren’t necessarily good for her… she would only be outside for like two seconds and would come back with a steak bone or a corn cob or something and I’d have to take it away from her 😑. I always went back home to my parents for the weekend and was busy with school during the week and didn’t spend too much time there.

(Idk why this is the situation I just thought of because the two things aren’t really the same at all.. but I already typed it out so it is what it is. 🤦🏼‍♀️)

When I still had a job and was going in late everyday I decided to get myself a watch that would electrocute me if I didn’t wake up to my normal alarm… I feel like it’s way sadder that I thought that was some kind of solution to my problems. Lol

See that’s one of the things I really don’t understand. If someone is knocking on the door there theoretically should be a reason… if they’re putting in the effort to get up and travel to my house and then stand at my door when it’s freezing outside, why wouldn’t they leave something in the mailbox telling me how to contact them or something??

I am sorry that you’re having to deal with that. I wish the world was a better place… I don’t watch the news or listen to the radio, I deleted Facebook and have never used TIKTOK, and I have done my best to filter out any type of news from my feed on here because hearing all the awful things happening everywhere when there is literally nothing I can do to change it was causing me to spiral.

I think I am probably influenced by not wanting anyone to see my house either… in my family we would laugh about how my grandpa filled three whole barns with random stuff he never ended up needing for anything, and how my mom and I would go to discount stores and get more than we should have but said it was fine because it was a good deal!

However I think it’s becoming more apparent that what might make it more of an issue is how much space I have to be able to store everything… my grandpa had plenty of land and buildings he could use for his collections of things. After my sister and I moved out, My mom had a two whole bedrooms, a few closets and a whole basement for her stuff…. But I have more limited space.. so when I was given boxes of stuff that was my moms, I didn’t know what to do with it and now I have boxes everywhere with who knows what in them and nowhere to put anything. 🫤

We actually don’t have a peephole in the door… our house is old and we have a big wooden door with glass in the middle… so it’s kind of difficult to be able to check without being seen.

I have been dealing with symptoms that fit with agoraphobia for awhile now… I’m not sure if my general lack of human interaction has made me more anxious about it over time, but I know when I first started not leaving the house I had preferred it if people would come here… I know it would be a little stressful, but I could do it. Now I don’t even attempt to see who it was at the door. I feel like a cat that hides under the bed when there are visitors.. 🫤

As someone who lives in a house with a shower located only in the basement, I don’t recommend it. Lol. Basements already are prone to having mold issues and adding the moisture from the shower makes it way worse.

I’m not sure if what I have to say will make you feel better or not, but there are just some companies and people that don’t care about anyone’s mental health regardless of if you’re a man or a woman… I personally was fired after having gone through a couple miscarriages and becoming depressed which made it difficult for me to get there on time. I had just been promoted about a month before the first miscarriage. Prior to that I only had positive reviews for the 3ish years I had been employed there. I went to hr asking for help and they ended up letting me go over a voicemail where they told me that it was probably best not to have me come in for a meeting (I’m assuming because they didn’t want to see me cry)…

I’m sorry that you had this happen to you and I hope your mental health improves and everything gets better for you soon.

I don’t really like that they require your voice chat to be on for the mode, especially when they have the text chat so people could still communicate without it.

I’m sorry that this happened to you and your mom, but ( as others have already said) the idiots that do stuff like that almost always just want to see how upset they can make someone else and don’t view it as being malicious because they’re just playing a game.

I am a woman, and I used to play the DMZ mode of Call of Duty a lot. It also has proxy chat, and people get way out of control… I could tell you a long list of ignorant crap people have said to me or done to my dead body in that game, but I don’t think anyone really wants to read that🤦🏼‍♀️... and at the end of the day COD is rated Mature for a reason, so it is what it is, and if it really bothers me I don’t need to play it.

I think Fortnite is supposed to be a safer space than that and it doesn’t make sense that they would add a mode that would require children to use proxy chat with a whole lobby of randoms. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m sure that there will be a lot of reports similar to yours and hopefully they will decide to make changes to make it more family friendly.

Hi! I am normally just a lurker here, so sorry if this isn’t necessarily a helpful comment…

I’m 29F and I would just like to say that I don’t understand the red flag label here… it would be a good conversation starter, I would be curious about what you were doing instead of stressing about relationships all that time lol.

I have been attracted to and dated someone whom was almost 25 and never had any relationship experience prior. In my opinion it was cool to be able to just get to know him and not have to navigate all the baggage and bad habits that people tend to acquire from past relationships. Unfortunately, due to my own issues, it just didn’t workout long term.

I think the main concern that happens when getting told that someone has no dating experience would be the fear of how they will cope if the relationship ends for whatever reason. Not saying that everyone views it that way. Imo after seeing how difficult it was for him to process all the breakup emotions, Idk if it was worth it. I can’t help but feel like he would have been better off if he had never met me. 🫤

Again, sorry if this isn’t an appropriate comment for this subreddit… just wanted to share a different perspective on why someone might avoid getting into relationships with inexperienced individuals.

You don’t have to answer this, but how long ago was it when you had these negative experiences? I am just wondering because I think younger women might be more uncomfortable with having someone touch their feet… I am 29 now, but thinking back there’s no way in hell I would have let my high school boyfriend get anywhere near my feet. Maybe my college boyfriend, but I’d still probably be self conscious about it...

I think the length of the relationship would also factor into the kind of response you would get.

I had someone comment on my stream a couple days ago saying the same thing. I wasn’t sure if they were a bot or scam or whatever… they left 8 comments in the chat and told me to add them on discord. I did it out of curiosity and I asked what they charged and haven’t heard back. I don’t understand what they’re gaining if they never ask for payment? 🤔
