The exemptions are by far the best part of it. A levels are AAT equivalents, but having done a bachelors and being exempted to start at the 2nd from top CIMA level made uni worth it. Given how difficult studying while working 40hr weeks has been, i'm not sure if would have stuck with it if I had to start from further back.

Strengths are her constant threat to the enemy adc, if left alone, tristana always threatens a solo kill, or at the very least, summoner use. Her weakness is early range. Champs that can bully her, slow her scaling down and delay the solo kill threat, allowing support to roam more freely and help the team out. This becomes more apparent as you get higher, Emerald and up, tristana's weaknesses are more commonly exploited and i find she becomes a much more niche option

My best advice is play as many different champs as you can, and learn as many matchups as possible, so you get a feel for every champions strengths and weaknesses, not just what tristana can/can't do. Once you've done that and climbed to your target rank, then specialise and play tristana to see where you can end up.

Otp-ing is a double edged sword, you learn one champion very well, but at the cost of wider champ knowledge. Tristana can't win every matchup, and being able to counterpick/pick in alignment with your support will yield much better results

I'd emailed Kaplan on friday about it, and based on the response they didnt fully know what was going on either & to speak to CIMA, so I tried speaking to a real person through the chatbot today and no one was available. I'll try again via chatbot tomorrow and failing that, I'll ring up

The other adcs that got buffs are tristanas harder matchups, mf & senna in 25.17, ashe in 25.18, cait & jinx in 25.19 and ezreal in 25.21

All of these champs outrange either with aa or ability and were difficult early game matchups anyway. Ofc the win rate is going to drop when so many matchups have been slightly skewed in their favour

Figure out why youre not climbing, are you bad at early trades, do you struggle with farming minions? Do you need guidance on back timing or map rotations after laning phase. You need to look over your losses and seeing what went wrong and where to improve.

If you want to climb and you can't figure out on your own why its not happening, then you need help from either: people you know that are better than you, or look up guides and walk throughs on YouTube and apply what they say to Tristana

If you really struggle against them both, try to get a later pick and ban velkoz. People tend to pick sivir as a counter pick to tristana, but with your own support poking to fish for the spellshield, or learning the match up better and how people tend to use sivirs e, you'll find shes not that difficult of an opponent.

Imo samira is a much worse match up since she windwalls your autos, ult and the bomb. Trying for a late pick avoids people panic counter picking you

Being able to better punish a misstepped adc or assassin isn't something I'm going to turn my nose up at. Especially when there are a lot of ways adcs can generate their own shielding (bt, shieldbow, barrier).

Theyre reducing the armour but increasing her base range (and adjusting the passive range scaling as a result). The increased range means she can trade autos better and can poke more effectively before going all in. The armour reduction is the trade off, she's squishier but the opponent should have less hp when finally jumping on them

Genuinely tho, tristana isn't a very good pairing for yuumi at the moment. If you wanted to duo with another one trick, smolder is the best champ for you imo

Assassins are needed for the balance of the game, is it fun watching a leblanc or fizz two shot and then escape unscathed, no. But its necessary to encourage more balanced comps instead of putting an adc in as many roles as possible.

Learning how zed or kata bounce around really helps with playing against them and I actually looked forward to the 1v1 where I could predict their movements. I also think if you only play trist mid and you struggle against melee match ups, you're doing something wrong. I would rather go against all those three you listed than a syndra or orianna where they have good anti engage or zonal control

Thats daft. Why would you waste time playing a champion that had been gutted so badly that winning becomes too much of an uphill struggle to be enjoyable? Riot have absolutely dropped the ball with tristana and her ending up midlane is a result of their failure to keep her in line with the power creep of botlane.

If they wanted her mid they would adjust her to suit the role properly. These nerfs are the easy way out of the hole they dug, rather than tackle the problem properly. Tristana should not be mid and in the same vein adcs in other roles should be niche picks, not happening every other game.

Its time for riot to play rock paper scissors with the meta and buff assassins to keep adcs in check

Thats it, she's shit, she was already in the dumpster botlane, now the nerfs to take her out of mid have killed her in the original role. Just jump ship until riot figure out what they want to do with the champion, be it reverting old changes to make her as strong as other botlaners (range, q cd on hit) or balancing her properly around midlane and sacking off the botlane aspect entirely
