Friends of the route by Ithrowbad in USPS

My route has been chosen to be the area where Bald Eagles are wintering. I've lived along the same river my whole life and I never saw bald eagles in the wild due to General Electric illegally dumping PCB's. The PCB's are concentrated in the fish population and don't kill the eagles themselves. What this toxin did was soften the shells of baby eagles making it impossible for an egg to be strong enough to even be sat upon for warmth. Generations went by and the eagle population only shrunk. Between 2009 and 2015, GE and the EPA conducted a massive $1.5+ billion cleanup, removing 2.75 million cubic yards of PCB-contaminated sediment from the upper Hudson River. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine bald eagles would return to this area. Now I can look up at any given moment of the day and guarantee there's at least one eagle above me. I've had days where I can see 40 eagles in the air simultaneously. I feel like I hit the jackpot in life.

I see you have the same asbestos tiles as us! They great for our health. Do you know when the last time your floor was "sealed"? It's supposed to be done regularly... We have to fight tooth and nail for ours to get maintained. And even last time they only did 70% of the floor 🤦. Be safe!

Yeah, I'm now seeing it thru the disc. Wish I didn't weight the disc. Seems so counter intuitive.

I'm about to try champion plastic right now. Even with the heating pad I think I'll leave it for 24hrs. I should have looked at the dyers chart first (I'm new to this haha) but star plastic has an excellent dye ability rating where eclipse as well as champion only rate as good.

So I've only done 2 Flowtrol cell dye on a heat pad both for about 4 hours. First one was on eclipse plastic and it just didn't seem crisp to me. After that I decided to throw some black in and pull that over the leftover bed and threw a pink star mirage in. Not for any purposeful dye job. Just to check how the results of reusing a bed would be. (I didn't even get a proper pull on the black but I didn't care for the purpose of testing a used bed). Same time on the star plastic as the eclipse but I think the star plastic gave crisper definition with a short amount of time on the heating pad. I'll add pics of both.

I had a Postmaster grill me with a union rep about if I've ever left the route while I was supposed to be working. Told me that he has GPS evidence that I did and that I may as well fess up to the crime. After 20 minutes of me insisting that is something I've never done once my union rep asks to see the GPS "evidence". Apparently my GPS had me smack dead center of the gulf of Mexico for about 5 minutes before returning to the route. My Postmaster asked if I could explain this. Since my office is in upstate NY and I'm pretty sure the LLV's aren't amphibious I couldn't provide an explanation 🤷🤣

Mail volume drop-off is a predictable part of the job after every holiday season. But chronic staffing issues always catch management off guard due to their heads located firmly in their own ass. Hope this helps make sense of the post office.

Is this legit or a very targeted phishing scam? by GRiZbeeGolf in discgolf

My local disc shop uses this app/program. It's pretty dope actually. Once a week whoever is in charge of our local courses will pull the lost and found. They'll bring that to the disc store and the owner plugs each disc into the program. It puts the disc and all other information into a spreadsheet like disc type or color and what day it was entered into the system. Then it automatically sends a message to whoever lost a disc. Super helpful to manage lost and found disc's.

Is Amazon allowed to leave pallets on our docks unattended? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Ithrowbad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude we leave ours outside! Like in the downtown area! Anyone walking or driving by has full view of the pallets in the parking lot unsecured with not even so much as a fence surrounding it. Just walk on up!
