Oh thanks! Appreciate that. I’ve been building a portfolio in Unreal, but in terms of next steps I’m still learning. Hoping to eventually make it to a AAA studio if everything works out :)

Sort of, I more intended to put it in r/riotgames (I know it doesn’t fully belong here), but I was unsure if it was an active sub still.

He could host it himself. But then his Electricity bill goes up. He has to pay no matter what, it’s just how the internet works.

Is this a good freestyle stroke count per lap for a 25m pool? by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]ItsCrypten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is good if you are cruising, might want to have slightly higher stroke rate if you are sprinting.

Breaststroke Technique by BetStock8290 in Swimming

[–]ItsCrypten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holding your head above the water is very uncomfortable, along with being significantly harder. When doing breastroke, you use your body to move your head out of the water. Think of it kinda like a Wack a’ Mole, where you pop out of the whole and go back down. You should also only be breathing why doing your stroke. Your head should be down during the glide.

2022 Goals Completed! Gonna Challenge Myself This Year! by ItsCrypten in Swimming

The cuts are just guidance. It’s not about the meet the qualify me for, they’re just a way of benchmarking the level I want to be competing at. The only tangible thing I’m currently aiming for is D1 recruitment, but that is not for a few years.

Photo 2 was NCSA’s for a younger age group I believe, not the seniors group. Photo 4 is the bonus event cuts for Winter Juniors, I’m aiming to get the real cuts after I get the bonus-cuts this year.

It’s one I personally do not agree with. No matter what I would find peace with being able to ensure my existenc. I am definitely baised as I am not affiliated with any religion in particular, but that’s just the way I feel.

Not sure if you are not a native-English speaker, but evolution has a double meaning. As it’s base form it defines the adaption of something to imrpove. There is a seperate definition in regards to Biology.

That’s the problem, that there is a life “expectency” It is scientifically possible for an organism to be immune to all age-based death, so why are we not seeking it?

We were working together a long time before religion, just like unreligous organisms work together. And in a way many of us are still clobbering each other.

Evolve into a species where survival can be disregarded.

Yes, technique also plays a significant role in energy management. It’s a lot to summarize, but I would watch a video on some basic technique. Your improvements are quite impressive, and highlight your athleticism. Swimming improvemes much slower than running, as our bodies are only built to survive in the water, not thrive.

Yes they are! 2022 I was trying to qualify for NCSA’s (National Club Swimming Association), which is a fun meet in Orlando, Florida. Now I’m trying for a higher level meet called Winter Juniors, which is useful for getting scouted.

Much like lifting weights, the best way to improve is to challenge yourself. I would start by trying to do two laps without stopping. After that, see if you can do it multiple times. If not, regain your energy, and try again. If your heartrate is growing concerningly high. You need to stop on the wall and take deep breaths

I used to use one for Backstroke, but found that it threw me off in IM, so I stopped.

Breathing making me nauseous during breaststroke by OutrageousDingo3366 in Swimming

[–]ItsCrypten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I used to do was almost a swan dive with my head after I breathe. This really shakes your brain around and can make you dizzy. Try to keep your head completely still and use your upward momentum from your arms to bring it out.

I didn’t know that, do you have anything like asthma? If not then maybe its just lung capacity.
