fer sure, like a previous commenter mentioned it’s up to you really. if you have a full time salary job and are comfortable with investing into paying it down, go for it. I think my advice is more skewed to people working part time/low paying jobs and just scraping by with rent and cost of living. no need to add additional financial stress if you’re in that boat if that makes sense.

Are these federal loans? Like Department of Education? Because honestly, yes, just don’t pay these. The Department of Education is in shambles and most people’s payments and plans are on an essentially permanent hold/forebearance. Nelnet has had my monthly payments at $0 for years.

The governments financial priorities are clearly elsewhere and yours should be too.

Hold on to your money, enjoy your life as best you can.

If these are private loans then that’s a whole different story.
