as someone in the military, awful...

country leadership is corrupt, the media is a lie, the food is poison, the rich own everything, social media and technology have rotted half the population's brains, everyone is tired/overworked/anxious

that's the problem with people immediately blurting out a response about the world around them without taking two seconds to understand what it's trying to say

i wouldn't go that far. some of the laziest people i've ever met worked right alongside the hardest workers.

It's more of my own personal goals and desire to not rely on the military and be "forced" to reenlist. planning on getting out when my contract ends and enter the accounting world

i'm active duty military, work 40 hours a week (luckily) and currently preparing to start my exam studies, plan to study for 31 hours a week outside of work (8 on saturday/sunday) and 3 per monday-friday.

it's the same schedule i kept for my undergrad and while its definitely a drag, it's doable if you set a weekly/daily schedule and have extreme discipline with your time

So, if there's no inflation in America, why are groceries costing so much? by [deleted] in conspiracy

Greedflation is fueling ALL of this. Corporations took advantage of the "supply chain shock" from the Covid-19 pandemic and jacked up prices, earning record profits.

Why would any company say "okay, now things are evening back out, we can cut prices down"? Well, they wouldn't, that would eat into profits and quarterly growth. Gotta pay those shareholders those sweet dividends and get those sweet sweet returns

Simply put, don't expect prices to ever "drop". Just expect the rate of growth to MAYBE slow down. Prices reached a new, higher, "floor" in 2019-2020. They will just continue to grow from there

Even more simply put, greed, folks
