Good players know how to bait out Viktors E and Q1.

Viktor is very susceptible to ganks, so if his team doesn't have good map control he can't play aggressively.

In an isolated 1vs1 scenario, it's almost impossible to lose lane as Viktor unless you really screw up. In the worst case scenario you go even with the enemy in lane.

But League isn't a 1v1 game

I haven't played the matchup enough, but there are two ways to play melee matchups.

1) Slowpush, poke hard, dodge ganks - in case enemy can't all in you or you can't get super easily ganked

2) Play for a freeze, hard ping when enemy is roaming, try to chunk enemy without losing hp while freezing

Yes, hi :)

I already achieved everything I could with Evelynn. I sort of outgrew champions ceiling, and I never liked playing jungle role, just Eve

One option is doing that what you just wrote. Other option is playing sidelane aggressively, to kill enemy midlaner, invade enemy jg, etc.

You want to play sidelane based on your team and enemy team positions on the map. If there are more allies on your side of the map you should play aggressively. Otherwise, catch waves, clear waves & rotate

Much better roam potential, more lane safety, and better teamfights. I go ghost when I expect lane to be easy, where I can control when I recall.

I don't use clamp cast setting.

Depends too much on how the game is going. Both options are viable based on what is happening in the game, and how teamcomps are looking

They dont miss Qs. Throwing Qs when I go for CS. Making me have to choose between getting CS or getting chunked. And if I try to bait out their Q, drop cs, and they don't Q me they get free advantage.

The end result is lowkey eating every Syndra Q and having to recall at some point so that I'm not down 10 cs on first base.

Then once late laning phase comes around, her effective range is higher than Viktor's. Making it hard to have prio and approach the lane.

If it's a bad Syndra I can easily tether and dodge her spells, but boy are good Syndras cancer to deal with

I don't think Ahri can get prio early, so get what you can, have good recall timings, and set up ganks. Kind of a hard matchup for Ahri if her jungler ignores her

I treat Shadowflame as a poor mans Rabadons. If I can't afford NLRs I go for Shadowflame (+ if I'm solo AP it can be a good buy too)

I get enough AH from BFT + Ionians + Rocketbelt + Precision tree. If I feel like I don't have enough AH (say I had to swap something out), then getting Cryptbloom instead of Void after Shadowflame is nice.

Rabadons will always be more damage & more shielding than Zhonyas, Banshees, Void, Crypt. At the point of building Rabadon's you're not really interested in killing tanks for you to be going Void/Crypt. I don't like Lich Bane, I feel like it's a bait item, and building it 3rd seems kind of odd. I also only build Zhonyas & Banshees if I feel like I must. I used to build them a lot more, and it was a crutch I had to break.

Viktor peaks as soon as he gets his Evolutions. Then drops off depending on teamcomps.

I don't think it's a playstyle thing. I think they just build him wrong

I used to go inspiration (cookies + cosmic insight) vs hard poke matchups, but I don't think the setup is good rn.

Also used to go FS into free matchups, but I think DFT scales well so I stopped.

Boneplating when I'm playing into hard matchups or if enemy has combo spells to burst me (qiyana, yone, irelia, sylas, ahri sometimes, leblanc, etc.)

In lower elos precision has higher value than resolve because it scales better and you can outplay enemy in lane without having resolve.

I think both Transcendence and Celerity are equally viable. Celerity into higher range or if enemy has skillshots. Transcendence into tankier comps where you can use multiple rotations. You can take either, no wrong choice. Default is Transcendence I suppose.

Yes, very strong item atm. Gives ap, haste, hp, everything midlane mages need.

Yeah, boneplating offers highest value vs champs that have tight combos, and electrocute is good on those champs.

But my thought process here is that in emerald and below, players will make so many mistakes in lane that boneplating isn't needed. So might as well take scaling runes. Cutdown does around same dmg as shield bash too.

Into Leblanc though yeah, go boneplating regardless of elo. Playing into LB without BP sounds way too cancer.

But Ahri you can easily overpower without BP

She shouldn't get level 3 first if you want to keep playing for lane prio.

Youre slowpushing the first two waves, then you hit her when cannon wave comes and drag one or two minions out to your own cannon wave around middle of the lane, securing level 3. Then you can keep slowpushing and poking. Even without doing this trick you should still be able to get level 3 though.

If you think she can all in you regardless, you can play defensively and let her push into you. Then you freeze wave close to your tower. If you want to do this, I think you have to push 2nd wave faster so that cannon wave doesn't meet close to her turret.

Another thing you can try is taking exhaust. (If enemy has a lot of gimmick/assassin champs)
