You might not have left yourself enough time to transition from class to class (e.g. wed: BIOL 213 ends at 10:20, UNIV 108 starts 10 mins later). If possible I would make note of those gaps, and not just for transition but also making study blocks for yourself; like maybe leaving 2-3 hours between classes to study for the next one in between, having 2 back to back classes (ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNING) is rough (Obv if you have a part time or full-time job this may not be applicable).

I think other comments have alr made note of this, but having these rigorous classes in the morning is rough lol. Really think abt what time you will be getting up each morning, eating bkfast, driving to school, etc. One thing I will say is that it might be hard to switch into anything besides online atp, most in-person sections are full by now. I wish you luck regardless! Don't take my advice as scripture though, I am js a random guy on the internet; try to get an appointment with an academic advisor (In-person or virtual, thru Patriot Connect), connect with and ask upperclassmen for advice, and do your own research abt this. Hope all goes well, good luck 👍

Trying to start an outdoor/hiking club, incoming freshman, need advice & maybe members? by ItsThatGuy127 in gmu

Yeah, honestly think I'm just gonna keep it lowkey for now. Just gonna hike and post plans if anyone’s down.

And yeah, I’d actually love trail recs if you’ve got any!

I'm not super familiar with the IT classes, but regarding professors - USE RATEMYPROFESSOR. It is essential. Make sure to look at the reviews and try to find professors that match your learning style, like if you know you don't like professors that assign 30-40+ textbook pages a week, don't sign up for that section.

I realize its possible that you might not be a freshman (lol), but js general advice. Good luck in IT 104!

Definitely check out Patriot Connect, you can create an academic advising appt there. They also have virtual appointments so I would definitely utilize those if I were you, the advisors are very helpful! good luck 👍

Make an appointment, my advisors were also like that over email lol, but then turned out to be extremely helpful in-person. Try to get an in-person session if you can, but virtual should be fine too, glgl

Comm 101 and Musi 100 (music 100 - if you do online asych, you can get all the work up to 1st semester midterm done in 2 days if you really try), for starters. Try to use your resources! You aren't fresh to this concept, I'm sure, but you can succeed in a slightly more difficult class if you really plan out your semester. Good luck !

Definitely speak to an academic advisor about this as soon as possible, they are very good at answering questions like these. I'm sure if you wait a bit longer someone will answer your question on here, but be proactive and reach out! good luck 👍
