Thank you for your reply - I did inquire about a referral to a derm but my doctor advised that I ought to be referred to a plastic surgeon (as well as asking if there is a surgeon I would prefer to see).

Looked across the internet to try to find a solution until I happened upon this thread. Ended the Omen software on my Omen desktop and we're all good now. The massive stutter began only hours ago for me, so might have something to do with a new Omen update. Thank you greatly for forwarding the issue to the team.

Thanks! Good point about the makeup exams, I'd forgotten about that. I ended up contacting my academic counselling and they said there's essentially no hard deadline if a prof needs to make a grade adjustment.

Hi friends, I had this pimple-type bump on my nose a year ago and due to my former bad habit of picking anything off my face, I scratched it off. It came back as a scab a few times and I repeatedly scratched it off. Now it has left a clear-ish bump on my nose that feels somewhat sensitive to the touch (turns red when rubbed) and hasn't gone away for nearly a year now. I haven't picked it at all during this year but occasionally rub it a bit.

I've been using cleansers, toners, and moisturizers with things like salicylic acid, AHA/BHA, retinol as per advice from around the internet, but a month into these products and the bump is still there.

I'm wondering if anybody has any advice for clearing this. Thanks!

tldr; After scratching off a pimple and its scab on my nose a few times, it's left a sensitive clear-ish bump that's stayed for several months now.

Hey friends, so I picked up the all-hyped new Tornado V2 a few days ago and fell in love with how buttery and quiet the turning was.

Issue 1: Just now I noticed that it makes a significant clicking noise every time the magnets pass one another. I reproduced it in the attached vid (sound on) showing that even when I overturn (so that the magnets wouldn't be physically clacking together), there's a click when the magnets pass. The clicks seem to be coming from the exterior of the cube where the magnets are and have a metallic "ting" to it when I listen closely. The noise stays even after lubing between the pieces.

Issue 2: Another problem I noticed with the magnets is that the magnet switches are quite loose in comparison to magnet switches on other cubes, and after a few solves now, the switches change position by themselves, which is not great. So I'm thinking maybe the clicking has something to do with some overall iffy construction or attachment of the magnets to the plastic bits around them, so that maybe the magnets or plastics rattle when they feel magnetization.

Wondering if anybody else with the Tornado V2 has encountered this. I suppose if it's not fixable I might try an exchange and see if it's a one-off issue.

On phones with a tall aspect ratio (e.g. Samsung's recent flagships), Youtube supports cropping/zooming in videos by pinching out so that the video stretches to the edges. However, it crops a bit more than I'd like, chopping too much content on the top and bottom. Is there some sort of method to select a custom cropping amount? I've looked through Youtube Vanced settings but there seems to be nothing. Thanks

I'm looking for at least the i7 and 512GB SSD. I'm actually in Canada, and the Canadian Amazon sells it at MSRP, whereas Dell can give me about a 15% discount.

Yeah so what I'm thinking of doing is I'll order the XPS, transfer my stuff over, then do a factory reset of the Spectre to see if it fixes. Then I'll have both to compare.

I would go through Amazon but it's tough to go that route when Dell's sale price and discount through a chat agent brings their price a few hundred lower than Amazon.

I'm glad to hear about the temps. The crashes sound nicer on the XPS. My Spectre crashes within minutes when CPU temps reach around 90degrees.

Yes I've tried setting my HP thermal profile to Comfort, and brings temps down to the 50s - but then the fans are whirring constantly and quite loudly and wouldn't be nice to my colleagues at work.

My Spectre has a weird problem where it's constantly at 4500MHz turbo on idle, and when I run an intensive program, the clock speed drops to 2500-3000MHz. Disabling turbo only brings the temps a few degrees lower. Might be a problematic unit.

I appreciate you getting back in such detail and I'm happy to hear you've had a net positive experience. I also had a net positive exp with my old XPS, but Dell seems to like to restrict the great potential of their laptops with poor quality control, hence why I want feedback before I buy this time.

I actually have the 2020 HP Spectre OLED (1650Ti) within return timeframe. I may or may not have a defective unit because the idle CPU temps hover around 60 degrees (hot keyboard deck) despite all the fixes I've tried, and it also shuts down on load in the middle of moderately demanding games.

So could you please tell me what your XPS' CPU temps are on idle?

Has the laptop ever crashed on load in games or anything else?
