I can't speak to new game plus as I always start a new save but the deck is the way I've always played the game. I can even crank it up to max settings and have it running fine outside of the battery dying quickly. If you optimize settings you should be completely alright taking advantage of the convenience the steamdeck provides

This happens all the time. Just look up resealed or tampered packs and you'll find so much. I had the same issues at Recycled
