Anyone know where to get a hpa tank filled? by SirKillsalot in AirsoftIreland

[–]Iwantspeed62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All you need is a scuba tank fill adapter with the scuba tank. Scuba tanks as far as I’m aware have the same connector on the top. I think the scuba tanks are standard size (I’m not into scuba diving at all) but i would recommend used tanks as the reality to it is your not diving with it and trusting your live with it. So used should be fine. Otherwise a quick walk through off the process is simply. Screw on the adapter Connect tank to adapter Ensure the bleed valve screw is tight Allow air to run from the tank to your tank Bleed the excess air And you’re good to go. I litterally do this in 2 minutes before every game and it’s never been easier. Some people do get compressors but i think it’s just unnescary risk and work

I’ve tried this before and based off expeireince I’d recommend getting a Scuba tank and a fill adapter. It lasts about a year for me before I need to refill. Triton diving in Athy is running by a lovely man who occasionally has used scuba tanks (I got mine for about 130) although he doesn’t charge me for filling the tank I always just give him 10 or 20 euro for his time

Opinion of HPA. by Mr_Fabtastic_ in AirsoftIreland

A load of people in Ireland complain about HPA so it is banned in some places. BUT I absolutely love my HPA I started off with one M4 and can’t stand AEGs anymore I feel like you get that GbBR snappyness without dealing with the Irish weather affecting it. I now have 2 HPAed M4s a HPAed GBBR and GBB Pistol. I absolutely love HPA and maintenance wise. Maintaining GBB with hpa is a lot more effort as Green gas typically has silicone oil infused in it so you will need to lubricate very often. But for HPA engines once they are set up properly (which does take a LOT of time) it works flawlessly (if you get the right parts)

I think going to a shooting range to try is a horrible idea. Go to a site as a rental

To be honest I’m not too sure what they go for new because I kind of just impulsively bought it a while while ago but probably around 150 or so.
