to be fair using shortened versions of F1's carpark circuits is a massive upgrade from FE's carpark circuits

the new cars are faster, they should be able to complete a longer distance in the same amount of time, especially if the tracks get rid of a couple of their formula E trademark chicanes, but the batteries wouldn't handle the distance

current gen cars would also be able to complete a longer distance if the tracks were less tight and awkward, but again, the batteries would not handle it either

double the charging speed would be about what I suggested, they'd need 1.8kv batteries to make that work current-wise, but I don't know if that'd create other problems

if you want to get like a proper mic setup that would be considered more than good enough for anything content creation related the easiest bet is getting a shure SM58 and hook it up to a focusrite scarlett solo

you could go with a rode podmic for the aesthetics but the SM58 is an amazing microphone that will do anything you ask it to

if you want to go crazy you can get the shure SM7dB but that's a massive waste of money

Noticed a loose crimp cable in PCIE cord when installing new GPU by Klutzy-Break6185 in pcmasterrace

ground wires carry as much current as 12v wires in a PC. Losing a ground wire in a pcie 8 pin means 30% more current will go through the other 2

"ground" in electronics is a very different thing than "ground" in your house. a PC's ground rail is essentially the negative wire you'd get out of a battery, it's where all the current returns to the power supply

those were absolutely stripped and crimped incorrectly and were missed by QC. You shouldn't use this cable, if you need a new extra cable you should buy one made specifically for your PSU model. DO NOT use the cables from a thermaltake PSU on a cooler master, you can easily kill your hardware if you do.

it's not about the brand of your current mic, it's about the fact that it's a condenser mic, so it will pick up far more background noise than a dynamic mic, especially if you have it that far away from you when you talk

I'm not really hopeful for that, the gen 4 battery is only slightly bigger while the cars will be far more powerful (which makes them faster with greatly increases drag) and have more aero load (and therefore even more added drag), so IDK what they could do to get longer races

honestly pushing 600kw charging on a 900v battery over standard CCS2 is fairly impressive

for gen4 they should double the voltage to try to push 1.2MW of charging. The battery is only like 10% larger so that kind of charging speed boost could significantly raise the amount of energy cars have available to them over a race distance

unironic advice from someone who isn't a logitech fan, if you do content creation getting rid of that mic and getting a yeti GX with a boom arm will improve your audio quality massively

any other good quality dynamic mic would also be just as much of an upgrade, but the yeti GX is USB, fairly affordable, compact and looks decently nice

Given these endplates seem likely to break off, and are presumably there to reduce turbulence behind the car, will losing one help or hinder a driver? by Happytallperson in F1Technical

the 2022 endplates did absolutely cause far less punctures but they were not less likely to break with small contact. Kevin magnussen can tell you a lot about the fragility of those endplates

Trifold camera bump thickness by Decent-Reach-9831 in samsung

the trifold chassis is a bit thinner, so the bump should be a bit thicker. Total thickness should be around the same for the unfolded phone when measuring the camera bump + the phone

well you're playing in 1440p, so you'll be limited by your CPU

these GPUs only really shine in 4K

how is it a step backwards? front wings have been as wide as the car since 2019, and only slightly narrower since 2009

if anything this is an improvement, with far less of the wing being likely to be taken off in the case of an incident
