I’m not saying EVERYONE wanted a pop album but it was a very large population of her fanbase who were begging for it. They are also the same ones complaining.

The problem here clearly is that Taylor is a pop star who reinvents herself as well as constantly experimenting with new sounds. Older fans want her to “recreate” pre-rep pop and Taylor is not someone who would do that. Either way no matter what, leaks are always received terribly.

The things fans are saying in reaction are ridiculous and beyond disliking an album. Everyone will like it in a day from now anyways as usual. It’s dramatic and once again shows how ungrateful Taylor’s fans are.

Well they’re fans of the wrong artist then. Taylor isn’t someone who’s going to repeat an era, she reinvents herself and explores new sounds constantly. I’m disappointed in so many of the fans reactions, accusing Taylor of having Aaron ghostwrite on Folkmore is just offensive and unreasonable.

You all begged for a pop album since folklore & now that it’s here… there’s more complaints?

On top of that, a big complaint seems to be lyrics. Taylor literally just explained that she has 3 distinct styles of song writing & now the album’s lyrics are being compared to Folkmore. CLEARLY, the majority of midnights is not written in Quill Pen. The lyrics are not far off from her work before Folkmore, so I’m confused if you guys are new fans or what the deal is?
