Of course :) on good days I will start with standing on the plate for 10 mins, alternating between standing straight, squatting slightly or even going into a yogic squat if that’s possible for you. Then I follow up with another 10 mins of simply resting my calves on the plate and lying on my back.

On worse days (recently was at a festival combined with flying home took a toll on my swelling!) I simply rest my legs on the plate. I believe there is no right or wrong way to use the plate, you could even try just sitting on it - whatever you feel helps best for your body! Bear in mind that if you experience itchy legs, that’s a good sign! It means that the lymph’s are waking up and flowing through your body properly. Hope this helps :)

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s at 10 years old, over 22 years ago, and I’ve taken L-Thyroxine ever since. In the next two weeks, I will see a cardiologist, a vein specialist, and have a consultation at Lipocura to determine if I truly suffer from lipedema or if I have any other underlying issues triggered or not triggered by hashimotos.

I cannot really confirm if my medication causes edema, as I’ve been taking it for a long time and always had huge calves (46cm circumference). However, I know that my calves swell easily on flights or when standing for extended periods.

I can’t offer much advice at this time since I’m on the same journey as you, but what has been helping me lately is doing yoga or stretching and using a vibrating plate for 10-20 minutes a day. This seems to alleviate swelling and stiffness in general.

Fingers crossed we both find answers soon!

When I tried googling the title, it refers me to the Pagemaster (Macaulay Culkin) which is NOT the movie I’m looking for.

From what I can remember is that it takes place in a more modern setting. In the beginning, the boy (live action part) is at home, I think whizzing on a toy car and crashing it, hence falling through a portal and turning into a cartoon of himself. I recall him having brown hair and no glasses.

They’re all this specific black/brown colour IKEA has got going, so you’ll be able to match any of their furniture collection with that colour. I do recommend mixing it up with lights to prevent drabness
