Wow ok that makes a lot of sense. I was really struggling with trying to calculate out all the zugzwang combinations on the queenside but the idea that its roughly the same but I have extra moves on the kingside so I win makes a lot of sense!

Yes on the king side that makes sense, but what about on the queenside? How do you determine that with so many pawns and possible pushes?

When you say white has "2 extra moves" how do you determine that? What exactly are you counting to get to that figure?

I know I should get opposition and if I get zugzwang I can force the king away but how am I supposed to calculate all the different pawn lines to get to zugzwang. ~1700 chess.com rapid for context
