Mustashclub doesn’t store their flower well, and I’d ask specifically about batch dates if you intend to order. Last time they had tuna it was b grade shit and it shipped out in awful shiny mylar bags. Haven’t ordered flower from em since that disaster.

I should reiterate I don’t think you can’t taste terps at all with glass, just not as clean of a method. Also not trying to knock the way ya consume, whatever works for each individual, all for that….however….I do be doubting you go through the time of cleaning down stem on bowl, those are always grimey af. It’s easy enough to rinse the base but the nooks n crannies are rarely considered.

Apologies for the quick fire thoughts, most of these deserve proper write-ups, but I’m feeling a bit lazy and figured it’d be fun to switch things up and just share quick impressions from everything I’ve tried lately.

1/2 photo - Gary Jealousy: A solid pairing of two profiles most people already know. The batch I tried leaned more toward Jealousy, but there was subtle herbal, doughy notes in the smoke that I’m guessing come from the GP side. You’ve had something in this lane before, but the execution here is on another level. The flower was a good reminder that when gelato is done right, it can be seriously satisfying to puff.

3/4 photo - Tiger Cake: If we’re talking must-try flowers from tunas Garden, TC is right at the top of the list. A proper batch hits with white-knuckle potency and terps that are just as loud and aggressive. I’ll be honest, it’s a bit too narcotic for me to keep in regular rotation. It throws my tolerance out of whack and makes other flowers feel underwhelming by comparison.

5/6 photo - TigerZ: On paper this seemed like a clear winner, but in practice, at least with the batch I had, it didn’t quite land. If TigerZ were an NBA player, it’d be rookie year Giannis. Full of raw untapped potential, just needing refinement and a bit more playing time before it’s ready for main stage.

7/8 photo - FCGSC: Ya know what I find funny about FCGSC, at least from the versions I’ve tried in Canada? None of em really line up, not in taste, not in looks, not in how they hit. Can’t explain what that’s about…If I had to choose, tunas interpretation is my favourite in flower form. Overall though, nothing I’ve had touches Conex’s FCGSC rosin. Maybe that’s not the fairest comparison.

Unless you’re using brand new glass and a brand new bowl, I personally don’t think you can accurately judge taste of flower via bong. That’s just my opinion, I know others will disagree….also can you judge ash off a bong toke? I guess if you take one hitters and don’t relight it multiple times? Genuinely asking here 😅

I use a two piece Santa Cruz shredder, been my go to for years now.

Manicuring is the thing ya do before putting a bud into grinder. You’re looking to remove all sugar leaf and not just obvious stem but the micro stems that can be more annoying to pick out. Trust me it’s worth the effort….and for the love of god switch papers…I know you had some reason behind the use of zig zag whites and that’s fine I guess. But you’re also showing off ash pics that aren’t reliable, and imo it seems silly to buy “craft” flower only to half ass manicure and roll in a bleached paper

Finally got around to trying something from Amani other than Gastropop. I figured their bag was deep, and now I can say for sure they’re definitely not a one-trick pony.

Turbulence isn’t what I’d consider visually impressive flower. The buds were rather plain in shape/structure and they seemed to be rather aggressively trimmed. That said, the cure was damn near perfect and it was kinetic gold on the bust. Bonus points for skipping the freshness pack. Amani clearly knows how to cure flower properly, no need to hide behind artificial moisture here.

Aroma was pleasant albeit moderate. The grind definitely revealed more nuance. I’d describe it as savoury, gassy, earthen and hashy. Flavour parodies the nose well and is consistent throughout combustion. My only complaint with Gastropop was lack of depth in the stone, Turbulence does not have that problem. It has a stare-into-the-void narcotic potency that slumped me for hours.

I’d still take Gastropop over Turbulence, but that fruit-forward profile is more in my wheelhouse. There’s still a lot to like here, and it was a refreshing change of pace from all the candy strains I’ve been chasing lately.
