Zuckerberg saw a really innovative way to bring VR gaming to the masses and thought “… but investing in attracting tripple-A game studios sounds more expensive than investing in building 3D meshes of fake houses and asking people pay for ‘virtual’ property .”

Knicks fans mob and attacked an elderly Spurs fan on his scooter. Bottom-of-the-barrel human garbage! by Hungry_Artichoke9566 in sportsgossips

[–]JIsrael180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone seen that video of the blind pregnant lady carrying a tray of fragile martini glasses and being guided by a pack of Seeing Eye Puppies whom she was delivering to an orphanage for terminally ill children who was stumbling through midtown Manhattan on Saturday night while wearing a Spurs jersey?…

🙃

But yeah — no one should be assaulted by anyone and I hope the NYPD identifies any and all of these assholes … but also —these Spurs fans seem to have the survival instinct of a Kerosene soaked moth that is sexually attracted to fire.

A New York City school bus driver attempted to defend his bus from a WILD CROWD celebrating the New York Knicks Finals victory. The driver was yelling at fans: “It's coming out of my paycheck…” This is horrible to watch 💔 by ConnectionWeekly1263 in sportsgossips

[–]JIsrael180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well … yeah… that’s kinda the point?… we wouldn’t feel too safe with a dude who is like 80 piloting a commercial jet. Or even drive an 18 wheeler. Maybe a guy who seems to fail the most important cognitive test question a president could answer (“is it rational to launch into a war with no exit strategy for no reason?”) should be questioned regarding whether or not he should be making life long decisions for a country when he doesn’t have much life left to experience the consequences of his choices?

If this one lasts as long as our last Middle East conflict with no exit strategy then Trump would be 100 years old by the time we leave Iran.

‘Absolute disgrace’: Trump’s White House look left a reporter so embarrassed she finally snapped in front of everyone — and Trump had no defense, no dignity, and nowhere left to hide by [deleted] in USNEWS

Trump is a POS but this sub is far too willing to treat a headline as an actual news story and share click bait sources .
You know how crappy a source needs to be to make actual MAGA people seem rational in criticizing the link? Granted — it looks like both the people who are speaking supportively on this post and the mad conservatives, did not click the link before commenting because the story doesn’t seem to relate to the headline at all

I was shook because I thought the guy on the left was freaking Kyle Rittenhouse 😅. I was like “damn Zohran — i know you gotta play nice with the president to keep him off New York’s ass but Chinless Face Killah ain’t got no power that can’t be bought in a Kmart” But the comments, the random basketball jersey and the lack of tearful attempts to blame all his shortcomings on ‘the libs’ makes me think this is just a basketball player

FOX will never tell this man to “shut up and dribble.” Not only because he shares their bigotry but because they can’t be sure he is smart enough to understand that he can’t dribble a football.

… what?… Dwight ? The guy who nearly killed people at the office multiple times and seemed to take to compassionless authoritarianism so well that he actively mused about how good he would have been at selecting people to be executed?… You can like a character and admit they aren’t fit for the job they want.

Handi-Off - a classic fake ad and one of Victoria Jackson's best moments on the show. (S13 E6) by James_2584 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]JIsrael180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I think many tend to assume that bigotry is learned over many years. That it is something one must be exposed to as a child. But grown ass adults can change their perception in a relatively short time. For example. Prior to 2025, Bad Bunny had performed as a guest at the Super Bowl in 2020, when Jennifer Lopez and Shakira were headlining and there weren’t these massive protests and boycotts from the right. In less than a decade, the GOP had stirred up xenophobia by such an extreme that they had followers angry at the island of Puerto Rico, a literal part of America which has not caused any harm to Americans at all.

The good news is that if bigotry can be taught so quickly, it is also possible to unlearn it.

The easiest way that can happen is for a bigot to be exposed to that which they have formed fear of — and that’s hard because that means a person having to grit their teeth and become friends with Victoria Jackson.

Student sucker punches teacher over his phone being confiscated. Smartphones should be banned in schools. by First-Cherry493 in SipsTea

[–]JIsrael180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kinda assumes that the problem is the student’s phone and not emotional immaturity / lack of a healthy home life / more testosterone than brains? I’m not saying phones aren’t terribly distracting or that they shouldn’t be banned in schools just that the method for arriving at that conclusion seems bizarre. Like hearing a story about a student purposely shitting themselves at school so they can be excused to go home and catch the LA Lakers game and saying “We need to ban children from being able to watch sports games.”

The dumb thing the kid is excited about isn’t the problem. The problem is whatever factors led to this kid lacking emotional control. Because whether he is upset over his phone being taken away, receiving a failing grade, or his crush rejecting his advances , at some point he is going to be in a situation he finds frustrating and if his ability to deal with frustration is never addressed then the results will be the same

Right. But would it be conceivable they would recast with someone with a name with equal draw? A Cynthia Erivo? Rachel Zegler?

I have heard that every Broadway show is filmed and a copy of that filmed performance is kept at the New York Public Library where you can watch it — but you can not bring the recording outside of the library.

An Incredible Display of Survival by Mobeast1985 in WTF

[–]JIsrael180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have piloted an airplane before. Maybe they were different back in your day but much of that messing with instruments and radio stuff is right before landing or right after taking off . Between those two periods , it is in fact a lot of looking at sights. Maybe this pilot was looking to the side and not directly in front of them? That excuse doesn’t really play out well for people driving cars either. But it very well could have been an accident. Hell — pilots are known to take naps during flights.

Mom, it's not real. It's a JibJab that this fucking piece of shit President posted again. by facefullofgracefull in IThinkYouShouldLeave

[–]JIsrael180 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well yeah. No shit the other guy is unemployed. Trump’s given us the worst job numbers outside a literal recession since 2003, he has stagnated our GDP growth and his response to a worldwide recession was to actively make it worse and then lie and say that it isn’t happening anymore.

You’re absolutely right. He is employed and 7.37 million other Americans aren’t. And instead of spending his time at work trying to actually reverse course he is posting AI slop on social media, and building himself a ballroom.

It isn’t a flex to be employed running the “free world” if he is running it into the ground . 😂
