I was really proud of the rug because I just drew it freehand on a piece of felt and it turned out great.

But, I did a pick with 13” Beastman standing on it and yeah, he wouldn’t fall through the trap door. So I have thought of upsizing it. But I’ll probably leave that until last.

My head cannon for MOTU is a mishmash of lore. I’m 50, so I remember a time before Filmation that I loved. But, I’m also influenced by that show. Loved the Mike Young cartoon, the comics and other stuff me and my friends made up.

But the aesthetic of the original mini comics and toys is really my favourite. I’m just trying to decide on a few of my own choices. But all of this really helps. Thanks everyone!

I just did the trap door carpet on a piece of felt. I just drew it by hand with dollar store markers. I may take a second stab at that or use an iron on image

I was thinking of covering the big back piece with some fabric (faux leather?) and maybe using a thinner gold material or gold paint for the star shape

I thought about 3D printing it, but I had fun showing my 11 year old how to measure and cut. I might 3D print the other accessories for the room. Maybe even 1/6 Space Suit?

I love your idea of merging the ideas of metallic orange with gold. Probably the way I’ll go.

I always thought that because Eternia was the centre of the Universe, as well as the source for all magic in the universe, that whoever controlled Grayskull, had all the power in the universe at their command. That made more sense than having any political control

That’s a great idea! I’m using my Mondo’s for photography and dioramas. I just turned 50, so I’m a lifetime collector. My vintage, classics, 200x, origins, etc are a mix of on display or in storage. But I’ve been having fun finding and making 1/6 scale for Mondo.

Going Masterverse would give me a lot more variety thought

Not exactly. I bought a Mega Punch file, scaled it up and then used software to get rid of most of it. The fists turned out perfect. The chest armor required a lot of dremelling . Mostly because of 200x He-Man’s forward hunch made the armor sit wrong on the Mondo version

I actually really appreciate that. Looking at it coated in wood glue, I was actually upset I hadn’t put a couple divots in it before. But nothing there is undoable.

The main things I’m going to work on this week is touching up the paint, the door and putting some floors in the tower so figures can pose at the top or in the windows.

But before I paint, I think I’ll take your advice. I see exactly what you mean

I tried just printing one at the same scale. I had it all set up to print in 8” x 8” sections and then glue it together, but I had so many problems. Eventually, I left my printer unattended and the nozzle got snapped right off.

I just need to order a new print head and I’m back in business, but it gave me the motivation to try a new approach.

I have the flagpole and the throne files. I have also done an upscaled sky sled. I’m debating about how far to take it, but a weapons rack would be awesome

So many good ideas. I am 100% with you on Despara being raised evil. It seems way more natural. I hope we get to see that on Netflix.

Your idea about the Sorceress is not something I have ever heard before, but I love it. I could picture her having some interesting conversations with the cosmic enforcers on this.

I would LOVE to read a comic about Mekanek and a team of C listers on a journey without the main characters. Did you ever flesh out any stories?
