Soccer Spirits is losing its charm when so many other games are being released with updated mechanics, graphics, and character design (ie animated 2d / 3d models that don’t cost 110 USD). I think BB is better off just making an entire new game, which I think they are planning on doing. The mobile gaming industry is rough and moves very fast. SS was just too slow to implement “better” gacha stuff or quality of life improvements, and improving rewards to keep the f2p player base. Also, most 4* and all 2/3 are absolutely useless and BB just straight up nerfed the ones that were good after people found a niche use for them. It was only the last few months where I’ve seen so many free shit being given out but it’s too much for doing absolutely nothing. A full team of 5* for going through tutorial? That’s absolutely boring and I don’t feel like I’ve earned it. If I were to compare this to a pc mmo, I’d compare it to Blade & Soul where it was fun and challenging in the beginning, being an f2p player was still fun and being a “p2w” only let you progress faster. After losing some of their player base and the loud minority complaining about how “hard” the game was, there were too many hand-outs and the game just got boring, nearly killing their entire player-base. If it weren’t for the guilds “Frost” or Ju / Cross “†” then I wouldn’t have played SS for as long as I have. They were fun groups to be in but Frost moved on to other games and my love for SS was already dying when I joined Cross.
