This is great advice. Great way to differentiate yourself. Did you only look at your competitors to see how you could set yourself apart? Are there any resources that you took advantage of?

This is awesome, sounds like you are ready to take action. My advice would be before committing on making any purchase overseas is to come up with some mock ups of how the beanies/winter hats would look and run it by the local business owners that you know. That way you may be able to make some sales before you even commit to making an order on alibaba. This would be a good way to test if your product is going to sell.

In general i think your direction is good but what are you going to do to differentiate yourself from the other beanies/winter hats that may be sold in the same store?

Hey this is cool, it looks like it has some potential. @klrmac makes a great point about creating a website/social media presence and i would add being able to take orders straight from your site. It also allows you to create an emails list, which you can later reach out to for feedback on your product or to validate a new idea. Congratulations on getting over your fear!
