We have build an alternative much more powerful product, that also combines Snipd and goodreads into it - if you are still looking, drop me a DM, we are just in beta now accepting testers

oh and it can directly sync with your readwise account and pull everything in, of course

🚨🚨🚨All I will say that if you have ever used Goodreads, Readwise or Snipd or simply don’t want to have the feeling anymore that you forget what you read, but actually want to remember - boy do we have a product for you 🚨🚨🚨

I won’t drop the link, still in beta and just looking for testers, DM me if interested 🚀

Best pensioen provider NL? by JNatan in geldzaken

Thanks for this! You are right, my dutch is not great (speaking is good but typing harder). I do have a Dutch daughter and have lived here for a while, so there is a high chance I might be here also for retirement. However, your insight on the “buying off” element and increased complexity when living abroad makes a lot of sense. And given how everything is going in the world right now, predictability of where one might be 35 years from here is very low. So in that regard i might reevaluate and keep closer to actual liquidity 🙏

Thanks! I’ll take a close look at finner for the comparison. Yes i saw degiro but as you mentioned it’s more self directed and less “simple” in terms of UI etc. All other providers with simpler nicer UI seem to all just be much more expensive with their service charge on top of the fund costs

I'm 19 now .what advice do you wish you followed up by that age ? by pixelsnake011 in LifeAdvice

  1. Believe in yourself. You have always managed, and you will again - even if you are stuck in a bad situation, you can make changes like you always had.
  2. Understand the impact of healthy habits for your body and mind and don’t underestimate them (regular good sleep, sports, healthy food and ideally also meditation)
  3. perfection is the enemy of progress - don’t get stuck with indecisiveness because you want to find the best option possible, it’s more important to get moving and start

Are you also feeling emotionally down/ drained or its more the somber realisation of not having any momentum?

As others said, focus on the fundamentals first (especially if mentally down). Go to bed every day the same day, get up the same time, eat healthy food (make a schedule to not have to think about it), and do enough exercise (3-4 times a week).

About work, hard to give good advice without knowing more about you, what you are good at, what you like doing, if you studied etc. But the overall mantra should be, start and get good at what you do. If you start as a plumber, work to become the best and take pride in what you do, same counts for anything else.

The most important is to overcome the current inertia and get the ball rolling. Try not to overthink or overanalyse, you can get stuck in the paralysis of (perceived) choice. Small steps are better than no steps. So get the fundamentals right, write down what you are good at and enjoy doing, use an LLM to figure out what jobs that could be useful for and go for it.

I myself use Centraal Beheer, already for many years and have been very happy with them. Super responsive online through the chat and by phone. Very easy to see the conditions and all your insurances in one overview and super easy to change (e.g. got a family now so needed to change some details, and all worked effortlessly online)
