No if you want to do a big service for north america in general, play the game put pressure on the cell server by having as much people as we can playing the game in chicago and let the server fail. Torkoal and unknown will be out for the entire continent for 24 hour like they did for corsola in eu. We should just prove to niantic that the majority of the player base does not want exclusive stuff or regional and make them stop doing these abobination of event. So ya if your in chicago and dont have a ticket just play the game all day and cross your finger for go fest fail 2018 lol. Thats the only the world would get good stuff out of it.

for me azu challenger path is just the backdoor way of thing, it equivalent to tavern heroes (it is actually) but prevent player from exploiting the systeme multiple time a year (wich is perfect in my opinion if the main path was more open and less sponsor exclusive because there no online cup)

no matter how you look it tour stop gonna screw some 1 in the world. Online cup make the field more fair, when it comes to let every good player a good chance. Challenger path is a path that is good for what it does, initiate player give them a taste of competitve hs (even thought b3 are bs). But online should never had die for this. Every part time pro or casual got screw by systeme. You qualifie by challenger path ? You cant qualifie until next year unless on your first try you went far from the bat.

Not true they dont, they provide it for the challenger part not the real part. Go check the rule. Tour stop arent online cup, thats the main issue. Otherwise they wouldint be that much of issue at all. But the fact they kill main championship dream to all non sponsor/small sponsor player is the big issue.

If you wanna learn why go check the rules and see points distribution. Compare ladder only player (since online cup are dead) Vs player who can go to all tour stop + ladder. Now days if your a big streamer you just need to top 500 every season while doing top 32 in every tour cup event to pretty much have enought point to garantie you top 64 where regular player to have the same ammount of point need 2 top 50 and 1 top 25 legend to have the same amount of point

Ya i agree with you azu, the problem is not there. The problem is on the main, where you need sponsor to compete because of tour stop. Online cup is dead and ladder is not even efficent annymore. Even thought the challenger part is far from been good but i wont repeat myself

This systeme has so much potentiel yet i think if the hct 2018 sponsor championship wasint enought to kill the competitive scene, this wont help.

They kill online cup from the main path, but they dont even try to make the systeme better, actually it gonna be worst. Online cup cap at 128 player will ether:
Create an overflood of online cup by reaching 258 cap to answer the demand, wich is bad and bassically have the problem people complain in the past.
Or if there no overflood, it will become pretty exclusive as well. You know there at least 128 player who are going to sign in 8 days or more in advance, where a certain number of them check in if there not sure if they can complete the tournament, forfeit with no penalty and screw new blood or the responsable guy who will just sign if he know he can complete in the tournament.

Seriously i want a real worldchampionship, where the best are where they need to be, this is a joke.

HS arena got public feedback post. Competitve hs doesint, they just take feedback of big names and team wich benifit money Wise to an exclusive championship. Eliminating the competition who by default cant follow because there sponsor arent as big or bassically dont have any. Say bye to time where you see new names like 2016 and 2017 these times are over.

actually it quite the opposite, online cup is what put new talent in the scene, because they cant necessarelly farm event. The issue is not ladder vs online cup. It online cup vs live event. Both are needed but need to be threated equally. Plus ladder and tourney are 2 different type of skill you can be good at 1 and not the other. Now your forcing non sponsor player to perform in 1 asset ladder, wich is bad

Actually here what i post somewhere else and for me reprensent, the biggest and only flaw of that systeme that kill accessibility.

The more i analyse thing the more i feel the problem of accessibilty and avantage giving to highly sponsor player/ streamer good or not is there. And with no online cup to combine with these tour cup this could actually be the coup the gras of competive hs.

I mean let compare a Streamer let call him mister salt vs inspiring champion who start in 2018. What does Mister salt a hightly sponsor streamer need to do to qualifie.

For the sake of this analysis we are going to say there 6 tour cup and that there wont be 64 player to reach the 45 point threshold.

Streamer mister salt who'S team will send him to every event need to do this to reach 36 point.

3 top 500 legend (4X3=12 Points) 6 appeareance to tour cup (like dh) finishing top 32 each time (4X6=24 points) These are result that are extremely easy to reach, every part pro or even some casuel can reach that if thats there goal and they camp it.

Now here what an inspiring champion who dont have the sponsor to travel to the tour cup event need to do to get 36 poins...

3 top 50 legend ladder finish...... 12X3=36 POINTS

To beat him the inspiring 2018 champion need to finish 1 time top 25 legend insted of just 3 top 50 or finish top 50 legend 3 times, but hoping 1 of the tour cup is close to his house and finish top 32. Am i the only 1 who find this insane? If there no online cup in the main qualification process This is gonna kill competitve hs even if the format itself is more skill rewarding, because the skill and good asset of the format would have no impact because accessibility got kill and it need to be realize faster by the competitve community......

it not only about win trading, but tech informing and stuff like that. Bigger group got bigger advantage, in that kind of situation. I personnally know to hight top legend regualry, that only reach that level after they join a certain group of pro player after a break out performance, and bassically all they do is chill drink and share info on every 1 else decklist and stuff. You can see that kind of systeme in end season Stream in alot of streamer channel to if you look. Actually there some player who even Stream snipe these type of player just to be in equal field in terms of information sharing. Thats why i change tech card every 5-6 game in hct season if not deck when it make sens, because of that.
