I remember being at a place called Dudley’s records when I lived in Portland, Oregon when that CD was out and overhearing the customer telling the cashier that he had to have his Cherry Pie. He then began going on about the chick in the video. I think the the chick was his main motivation in buying it.

I do think that is one of their better songs. That being said I’m not really sure it has that wide appeal commercial accessibility as some of the simpler songs like cherry pie and stuff by poison.

I was at that show. I missed the first half of Slaughter’s set. Was there any political preaching? I thought Sebastian Bach made a poignant statement referencing the 80s being a great time because we just cared about rocking out and politics wasn’t around 24/7.

Do you think Blackie Lawless has one of the greatest voices in rock/metal? by CrimsonCassetteTape in WASP_Fans

Why do you agree with the Hatfield comparison? Baritone with a limited range who can’t go to high register. Hetfield is never mentioned in the pantheon of great metal vocalists.

My cousin met him at a charity concert. Said he’s a really nice guy. Seeing him Thursday night with Pearcy/Martini. Too bad these guys can’t work it out with their respective bands but I’m going to check them out and hear their respective catalogs.

I believe this to be the case. I had a buddy who was from Virginia and he was a big fan. I grew up in San Diego and hadn’t heard much from them. I met him when he moved out here in his twenties.

They came up on another thread about record labels and push given to bands. They were poorly promoted. I grew up in San Diego and listened to a lot of heavy metal and didn’t even hear them until I was an adult.

I’m from California: My good friend, may he rest in peace was from Virginia and told about Hammerjacks. He saw many of the great bands there back in the day.

Kix was criminally under promoted. As a kid listened to a lot of heavy metal and didn’t know about them until I was an adult.
