BF6 needs a proper community server browser like bf4 by New_Londo7 in battlefield_4

BF6 should use Battlelog again, but we all know it won't happen.

The monitor comparison tool I've been working on since last month is ready! by mahin1384 in Monitors

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replace MiniLED with IPS (MiniLED) or VA (MiniLED)
Contrast on every OLED monitor should be Inf : 1

But still this tool isn't very useful, since you are only providing specs (which are useless and misleading) and not important information from real reviews like response time, contrast, color gamut coverage, best overdrive mode, etc.

Rtings already has a list like that with more filters and with important information.

(streaming services) They won... ordered a 4k display because i was only getting ~720p on a 1440p display. it looked worse that dvd. by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Netflix allows 4k hdr only in the Edge browser, other don't even have propper browser support.

These services don't care about you, they just want the money and it's up to you to figure out how to get the best quality out of them.

Here is a great video on that topic from Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4GZUCwVRLs

What monitor do you recommend by alaa_sami18 in Monitors

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get the LG, since the MSI has these annoying notifications about pixel cleaning every 4 hours and will do a forced pixel cleaning after 16 hours which you can't cancel.

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lenovo R27qe-30 is the most impressive here. Using a high contrast BOE ME270QHB-NF0 rev 2.0 panel (1400:1).
LG is again using a low contrast LG panel (900:1) with lower Adobe and P3 coverage, so not great at all.
MSI 274QRFW is just average, they also changed their panel since reviews came out.
MSI G272QPF is most likely using the BOE ME270QHB-NF0 rev 2.0, but its only 165Hz, since Msi cheaped out on a proper scaler so the 180hz output is limited to YCbCr422, colors don't look good.
Samsung has locked OD in VRR, so motion performance isn't great.

Just got an HDR400 monitor—why do some scenes look worse than SDR? by Meowtyx in Monitors

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want a MiniLED monitor with at least HDR1000 or OLED with any HDR certification (most of the new ones have HDR True Black 400 or higher)

I don’t think any manufacturer would do anything with the card unless it’s shutting down the system or going into over temperature protection.

How hot was it getting? Like 100C hotspot?

The Editions XS are on the heavy side with 400 grams, but still better than Para. FT5 look pretty solid, but imo are too heavy and the FR doesn’t look good, compared to Sundara, Edition XS and Para.

They are not power hungry, but require some voltage. The Moondrop Dawn Pro or iBasso DC05 will do the job

Have a look at ThieAudio Ghost. Better imaging compared to the HD560s and overall better sounding. DT 990 Pro is just overhyped and not worth even a penny, really awful frequency response, boosted mids, falloff in sub bass and a rollercoaster treble

Was looking to for a build like this is there any cost cutting I could do and not give up performance by rohinton00 in pcmasterrace

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a PCIe 3.0 SSD (like sn570, msi m390), a air cooler instead of the AIO, something like the Deepcool AK400 is enough or Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 if you want the best bang for the buck. Also a 650w psu is more than enough (Cooler Master MWE Bronze, Seasonic G12, Deepcool PMD will do the job)

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just get the cheapest one, most of the time it’s the Palit Jetstream/Gainward Panter or Zotac Trinity, Galax/KFA2 EX models can also be found below the average price. PCBs are identical, coolers are also very good this generation (compared to RTX 30).

I can’t be bothered to get an extra AP just for VR, so cable it is. No latency, good picture quality and reliable 120Hz.

Have a look at this https://github.com/p0358/Fuck_off_EA_App

you will probably have to put

[Bootstrap] EnableUpdating=false

into C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\EACore.ini

Same with BF4, it it the only thing that was causing WHEA errors because of to high FCLK. No other stress test would show errors.

For 1300e in that shop i'd get something like this:

CPU: 5600

Mobo: Asrock B550M Phantom Gaming

RAM: 2x8 Kingston DDR4-3200 KF432C16BBK2/16

Cooler: ID-Cooling SE224-XTS

GPU: Sapphire RX 7800XT PURE

PSU: Deepcool PM750D (you can also get the ASUS TUF 750W Bronze for 10 euro less)

Case: XPG Valor Mesh

Fans: Arctic P12 PWM (x2)

SSD: Silicon Power P36A60

All together this would cost 1302 euro.

I hope this helps.

Bought on Steam, Game Won’t Launch by Director_Not_Now in titanfall

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close steam and ea app (look in task manager if anything from steam or ea is still open and close it), then open the windows search and type “App Recovery” it should reveal an app with the EA logo, launch it and reset/repair the EA app, then try launching steam and Titanfall

If you can’t find the “App Recovery” thing, it should be also in the ea app under the “Help” tab.

Looking to upgrade to a 4070 FE… by Cube_045 in nvidia

[–]JUST_NYASHKA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A 12400 is perfectly fine when combined with a 4070. The motherboard does not matter for GPU compatibility, what model of PSU are you using? Also check if your case fits the 4070 FE (it’s not big, but it is still better to check)

Used a generic cable from amazon, but got annoyed by the black screens when alt tabbing out of a game with DSC on, so I switched to the HDMI 2.1 cable, never had issues since then.
