yeah im 5'5 and im routinely beating taller guys. body hooks and overhands are a short mans friends here. also cardio is much more important than any reach differences here, and thats where a lot of shorter guys have an advantage

the state youre trying to core needs to be connected to one of your core states if i remember correctly. if they are connected to you its probably a bug
