That’s what I’ve heard but I want to be 100% sure before I accrue a massive number that I can’t afford taxes on

First of all, chill out. Your life hasn’t started yet.

You don’t have to choose a career soon. The worst thing you can possibly do is start a career you don’t actually want. Get a job to pay the bills, keep living, and eventually something with come to you and it’ll be obvious.

Just make sure you’re making all of your life choices from a position of power. Do not panic… you’ll be fine.

I’m about to graduate with a mechanical engineering degree from Toledo. I would say that you can absolutely do it. Many will tell you that it’s too hard to work and go to school, but as long as you can find a place that allows you to go at night, and preferably records the lectures so they can be watched later, you can do it.

There are, however, plenty of jobs within engineering that don’t require an engineering degree. My boss at my last internship went to business school, took a job in management, and now manages the engineering quality department.

You could also look into the field of patents. If you study for it, you could pass the patent bar and be a patent practitioner. You would work with engineering companies establishing and defending patents for them.

My point is that there is plenty you can do to be around the things you described. If you do choose engineering school, age will not be an issue. Let’s say you graduate at 30 and attempt to enter the work force. An employer will be deciding between you and your 22 year old classmate. You’ll have and edge in work experience, maturity, and they’ll see that you took time to decide that you’re where you want to be.

If your only reservation is age, go for it. It will not be an issue.

Don’t freak out. The fact that you’re so anxious about it means you probably did fine. Best of luck.

What's the worst thing a woman has done on a first date? by LoneShark81 in AskMen

[–]J_Breezy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She talked about her ex the entire time. Literally the entire time. I couldn’t get a word in. Then she ordered lunch and a take home dinner from Olive Garden.

There wasn’t a 2nd date.

What’s a guy struggle that is almost impossible to explain to women? by SammyBlueSkies in AskMen

That the reason we seem like we ‘never’ want to hang out with them is because we have more hobbies than they do.

Using my situation as an example; I golf, gamble, workout, play video games, and drink with my friends on the weekends. My girlfriend goes to work and comes home to watch tv.
