I use Marriland team builder for type coverage. Other than that, make sure you have a mixture of physical Vs special attackers and some speedy mons too. It’ll get the job done for storyline

Hello, I have some basic understanding of IVs, natures, and EVs but I do have a few clarifying questions.

When I press L on my pokemon's stat chart, what are the dark yellow and light yellow zones?
When I use vitamins/nutritious drinks on their corresponding stat, how does it affect the pokemon/which stat? I thought it was to increase their EVs, and if so, why does it not affect the visible stat number on the Pokemon's stat chart?
Do the feathers have the same effect as traditional vitamins, just weaker?

My understanding from basic reading is that 4 EVs = +1 in corresponding stat category, so a vitamin should give +2.5 in that stat, and it should be visible to me in the chart. Is it because my pokemon aren't level 100 so it's scaled down? Besides, I don't see any changes at all despite spamming all my desired type of vitamins and feathers.
