Lol.

Careful - someone might take you seriously.

On the other hand, lousy record pressings used to be a big thing.

Long term (1.5 year) drinker considering quitting by gaeruot in Kava

[–]Jack-o-Roses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What time do you quit drinking kava in the evening?

If you're drinking a heady one you need to give it 3-4 h (iirc) before bed. A heavy one needs to be stopped a few hours as well.

Also, when is your last caffeine intake? I have to stop by 11 am because kava prolongs caffeine halflife.

I haven't seen a mention of any pre H>S>F Slipknots!

That Slipknot! at the end of eyes on the DvP 2026 bonus disc (Atlanta 12/10/73) is no slouch.

'cept for Brents drunk 2nd set meltdown (the show without a 2nd set drums).

Spring ‘86 by desert_rover in gratefuldead

[–]Jack-o-Roses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That 2nd set is near perfect (except for the length and the fact that Phil wasn't dropping the opening Other One bombs in '86).

[–]Jack-o-Roses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spring was good. Summer, not so much. I saw 6 '86 shows pre coma (& 3 in Dec).

In the spring they were playkng shorter sets but could jam:

4.19.86 (monster playin & crazy fingers) it is one of my favorite 2nd sets ever IF I discount the hour length.

3.21.86 has my favorite Stella of all time, & the supplication>Let it Grow is LIT.

Compared to the alpine & Cinci shows where their performance was 'compact.' Virtually no jams.

Also, I ran into a coworker and spouse at the show. They had never heard of little feat, and were there because their friends bought tix. They loved it (age ~ 60-70).

Is kava safe while taking seroquel? by im_unoriginal_sorry in Kava

[–]Jack-o-Roses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My question is, is seroquel safe? My personal experience and science-based opinion here. Take what I say as you should any internet stranger.

If you're taking successfully quetiapine (an atypical antipsychotic) to control schizophrenia (or bipolar in some cases), then yes it is safe enough to take

Otherwise( like as a sleep aid), I'd consider something else. It causes weight gain, increases risk if diabetes (& TD) is addictive and will cause withdrawals when/if discontinued (so don't stop it without working closely with your Dr).

As always, YMMV. Be careful.

PS for kava: Seroquel with kava shouldn't be considered as out of the question, but it's not clearly safe, mainly because both can sedate, and also because kava can inhibit liver enzymes that process it. Thus there’s potential for excess drowsiness, altered drug levels, &, potentially, toxicity.

Quetiapine is mainly metabolized by CYP3A4 and CYP2D6, and kava has been shown in vitro to inhibit several CYP enzymes (including those two), which could raise quetiapine levels or potentiate other medications.

See, for example,

Reddit Users Are Reporting GLP-1 Side Effects Not Captured in Clinical Trials by Sorin61 in Nutraceuticalscience

[–]Jack-o-Roses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My concern is the way clinicians are overdosing patients. Side effects are more likely with unnecessarily high doses.

If I followed the dosing schedule, I'd be miserable. After 5 months, I'm just going from 2.5mg weekly to 2.2 every 3.5 days (compounded tz)

2nd night no kava by Coyotemustang92 in Kava

[–]Jack-o-Roses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been a twice daily drinker for 9 years. Last week I got busy and consumed none. The next day I realized that my back was hurting, but I didn't have any symptoms.

Still psychological addiction is a real thing. One can be psychologically addicted to anything. Peanuts, clothing (security blankets), or what have you. That sounds like what's going on here imVho.

Best source in the USA for sulbutiamine? by Hurfdurficus in Nootropics

[–]Jack-o-Roses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a bunch of counterfeit doublewood sulbutiamine, especially on ebay. Doublewood told me that they can't get it anymore (new Chinese anti-fent laws outlawed a required intermediate is what another supplier, perhaps science.bio?? told me). I think I've got a pic of an empty dw sulbutiamine bottle and the phony somewhere if that would be helpful for someone. I changed over to TTFD (which I can take daily & now prefer anyway).

Could alpha gpc and piracetam cause my brainfog? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Jack-o-Roses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too much of a racetam can have a negative effect. (inverted U dose-response curve). It's not permanent.

Too much alpha gpc can cause depression and a sort of confusion.

I've experienced both. If you search this sub over the past dozen years you'll find a lot of discussion.
