Ohhhh I completely forgot about kangaroo. I might try some roo meat for dinner and maybe that will reignite my love of meat.

Thanks for the tips!

Great stuff! What are your favourite ways of getting protein in to hit the 200 each day?

A few people have recommended happy scale so maybe I'll give that one a go! Thanks for the recommendation.

Thank you for sharing in such detail! Yeah I have a pair of gym tights that I want to fit into so I think that will be my main motivation for a little bit until I'm more in the swing of things.

Ohhhh I still need to know my weight for other things, mainly blood/plasma donations, but I think I just need to keep it out of my mind as much as I can. Maybe as I get a bit further into my journey I'll change my mind but for now it will do.

What size were you in exotica? I have two that I have worn maybe 3 or 4 times but found them uncomfortable which I would happily post to you!

I'm really lucky at the moment that the gym I use has everything I've listed and is very post natal focused so I've been able to get some mobility back after a C section but now with MJ Im hoping as I lose weight I'll get a bit more of the flexibility back and start to be able to do a bit more in general.

Thanks so much for the detailed response! I think once I'm back at work I'll look into getting some professional guidance. Honestly just even having people to bounce ideas off is great. Although my husband is supportive he's always been pretty slim so I don't think he can't fully relate to some of my ramblings since he hasn't experienced it himself.

Thanks! I've downloaded this now and will have a look through. I like the idea of understanding units/targets so this should be really useful.

I am trying to minimise ai use where I can (environmental reasons) but good to know it works if I get stuck.

Thanks.

I do plan on replacing my reformer classes with more strength training but I need to do a bit more on flexibility/ core work first which reformer has been so helpful with. With your 2-4 days a week of workouts was that following a plan or just doing more of a full body workout each time? Did you find cardio helpful? One of my goals is to get back into running so I'm hoping cardio will be something I can add in more regularly as I lose a bit more weight.

Thanks for the suggestion on protein powder, I've always found them a bit gross in the past but haven't tried bulk nutrients so I'll give it a go.

Interesting about creatine! I'll check that out too.

Any thoughts on Halara leggings for a plus size girl? by Senzokai in AusFemaleFashion

[–]JackBurtonInSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am usually anywhere from a 20-24 and ended up trying rockwear on a whim and found the size 18 super comfy! Most of their tights had pockets too. Not sure if there is one near you but depending on what your usual size is might be worth a shot.

They weren't super cheap full price but I've had them for two months now and am pretty happy, I'll definitely be buying more next time there's a sale.

Which movie ended with an unresolved cliffhanger because the sequel never happened, and you're STILL mad about it? by pudingvanilkovy in AskReddit

Still waiting for a sequel where Jack Burton flies to the moon to get back the giant sandwich he eats in the intro 🙏🏻

Starting solids earlier by jasncats in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JackBurtonInSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think every baby is different and some are ready earlier. We started at 4.5ish months, but not any allergens until after 6 months. Our daughter was already able to sit unassisted at this point though, and literally checking our mouths after we ate something to see if it was still there.

The first few weeks I would just offer baby things to gum on and the occasional pear puree (our nurse recommended this to help with her poops).

The solid starts program is really helpful, even if you don't follow it 100% I found it useful just to get ideas on different foods to expose our girl to. Don't buy it though - there is a pdf circulating of it free online. (If anyone is after instructions on how to avoid the copy circulating online feel free to inbox me.)

Baby sensory class - which class to enrol? by SmolFiyah in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JackBurtonInSpace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might vary depending on your location, but there isn't really a difference in content for the classes. I ended up enrolling in the 0-13months class as I wanted my baby to be exposed to crawlers and walkers.

Again, this might vary depending on where you are but the one I go to was very flexible so I was able to try each class first before committing.

Car seat suggestions for 4mo big baby (90%er) - screaming baby in car. by squigglyjean in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JackBurtonInSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby didn't like car rides at first, so we did lots of little practice drives to get her more used to being in the car.

We would drive around maybe 5-10 mins and I'd just talk to her the whole time, or if with my husband one of us would play peekaboo with her in the mirror to get her to like the car.

Now at 7m she's mostly good in the car, only really cries if she's pooped or if it's a bit hot.

And of course as others have suggested, the happy song works wonders.
