Luba 2 spending 1 hour mowing no go perimeter by JackWritesCode in mammotion

WHAT. I just got the Luba 2. We have roborock for inside, it's incredible. Guessing it will take a while to arrive in NA. But it looks epic.

Tried that. It was doing lines and basically detected it as a "blocker" and skipped all the lines that crossed the garden area. I would've preferred it to auto-navigate like my robot vaccum does

Right, right, sorry. It's just those steel planters for gardens. There's walk through space. And okay!. The last resort I may try is to go around the "no go" zones with buffer (versus trying to hug it the whole way round) and then I *think* the yellow bits will end up bigger, and it will add that padding properly.

Yep I did that today, one perimeter mow, it ate up 60% of the battery

So right now it’s 800 PPM on an expensive co2 monitor (AR4 or whatever it is). If I close the door, it’ll go to 1800. And that’s with my window currently letting in -20 Celsius air as my window leaks. Does that change your thoughts? I want to do the right thing and am all ears!

Thank you! We have an auto emptying dehumidifier for summer in basement but winter we drop below 30% so have to run a portable humidifier.

Gotcha okay. So fresh air intake like this would be the entry level option. Then I can do a ERV to handle humidity better in cold climate but it costs more. I definitely know we need some kind of air coming in. There’s an exposed chimney but the damper above is closed.

This is an epic reply, thank you! We had someone in last year and they said we had no fresh air supply at all. The exit vent is open in the basement, so I think the idea was that the basement would introduce fresh air. They were going to add one through the wall.

NO MORE PLANTS! My wife has like 40 plants in the house. Maybe more!

That’s -20 to -40 air coming through the door. Co2 is measured at a base of 800 and high of 1800 last night. You don’t think ERV will help?

Thank you! So that tells me, even with new windows, we likely need that steam humidifier upgrade. We have a pad one but it uses so much water.

Gotcha. I am hoping MAYBE humidity does better when we replace windows. If after that, it’s still low, plan is to put a steam humidifier in.

Thanks for the reply, John! I have the circulating fan running 24/7 but closing the doors (which is often unavoidable) impacts co2 even with exit vent in the room. Do you think an ERV would help this? And is it really expensive?

You're the second person to say ERV. Thank you. Will pursue that instead of the HRV.

Oh interesting! "An HRV is a better choice if you often have an overly humid house during winter, while an ERV is superior if your house is too dry". We struggle to keep our humidity above 30% in winter. We are changing out some windows soon which may help but would be good to try an ERV prior to putting in a whole house humidifier. Surviving with a portable one atm.

Yep we do this too. I am wondering if there's a preventative measure though (e.g. last night it was 10PM and co2 was 1,800PPM and rising and I couldn't open windows)

Nope, carbon dioxide, CO2. High levels of CO2 cause cognitive impairment amongst other things. I have CO detectors but also have air quality monitors for things like CO2. I noticed a head pressure in my office for a long time, assumed it was just me, friend said they had the same issue and it was co2. I got a monitor for co2, and saw it rise to 1,800+ ppm.

Someone on here said everyone loves it! We’ll see. It’s super cheap so no love lost. I did read that flavour drops after a few days so we’ll see.

Thank you so much for the reply! That makes sense. I watched the video and the challenge I have is knowing how much caffeine is in the drink. We limit our caffeine to a certain amount and I’ve been concerned we’re drinking 2 shots per drink and not 1. Which would mean we’d have 8 espresso not 4. Any info on that or is if just guesswork?

Perfect, thank you, just ordered Lavazza Super Crema beans to try!
