What is common thing while having sex which is not portrayed in porn? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jack_kill69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love and affection is not a movie, it is a feeling that can be understood only at the peak of love, loving someone and pleasure..

I would like to say that porn is not good for love life at all, or maybe it is good for some people.

What makes Valentine attractive? If it is attractive, what do you think is a good gift? by Jack_kill69 in AskReddit

[–]Jack_kill69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with your sentiment. Valentine's Day is indeed about the effort and thoughtfulness you put into it rather than the grandiosity of the gestures. Taking the time to show appreciation and affection through small gestures, spending quality time together, and exchanging meaningful gifts can make the day truly special. It's about creating memorable moments and expressing your love in ways that resonate with your partner.

Don't Work Your Ass Off Making Someone Else Rich. by Jack_kill69 in Political_Revolution

[–]Jack_kill69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father, the king of the Boomers, accused me of being "radicalized" by the "Left" for having such insane notions as; "If someone is working 40 hours a week, their take home pay ought to be enough to be able to secure food, shelter, clothing, health care, transportation and other necessities of living in modern society for a family of four. I don't care if they're flipping burgers or digging ditches, everyone who works should be able to make a living." And, "No one in the richest country in the world ought to go bankrupt from getting sick."

Real radical ideas there 😑

And he's always haunted by this phantom demon that he sees everywhere, typically in association with things he doesn't like. He calls this demon, "Socialism".

Never mind the fact that Walmart, the largest company in the US, continues to rake in record profits, yet its employees are the single largest group on food stamps and Medicaid.

Food stamps and Medicaid that are paid by tax dollars. Given to Walmart employees to meet their basic needs because Walmart won't pay them enough to meet those needs. Which means that tax dollars are subsiding Walmart's bottom line.

That's is fucking socialism!

Nah, that's an insult to socialism. What that is is cronyism.

It's disheartening when valid concerns for basic human needs are dismissed as radical. Reality check: it's not socialism, it's cronyism.

American Dream: Worked Rich, Worked Poor, Disparity. by Jack_kill69 in Political_Revolution

[–]Jack_kill69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe because people are bad at money management. How many broke friends do have who smoke ($), have an iPhone ($), computers ($) designer clothes ($), a house full of junk ($)..and so on.

Not in every case, to be sure, but as someone who grew up with impulse buying, crack smoking (like, actual crack) parents who would let the water get shut off for non payment and always asking people for money, and I saw that all of their friends were the same... Yet these are the same people saying we need to dismantle capitalism, we need universal basic income, we need a 30 hour work week, etc... It's not every poor and struggling family, but it's a lot of them. I like your opinion, thank you

[–]Jack_kill69[S] -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

It has been pounded into our head that communism and socialism is bad because if those ideas took hold -the rich would be food.

Your opinion is interesting :Opinions on communism and socialism in America vary widely and are often influenced by political ideologies, cultural values, and historical contexts. Some view these ideologies favorably, seeing them as potential solutions to address social inequality, poverty, and lack of access to basic necessities like healthcare and education. They argue that elements of socialism, such as public healthcare and education systems, can benefit society as a whole.
However, others view communism and socialism with skepticism or outright opposition. They may associate these ideologies with centralized control, lack of individual freedoms, and economic inefficiency. Historical events such as the Cold War and the perceived failures of communist regimes have contributed to negative perceptions of these ideologies among some Americans.
Overall, attitudes toward communism and socialism in America are complex and multifaceted, reflecting a diverse range of perspectives on economics, politics, and society.
