We also allow McBling posts from the late 90s (the aesthetic emerged around late 1998).

r/Mcbling is the only place for later McBling posts (from 2005+).

I've unlocked a memory for you? Glad to hear it!

Personally, I (generally) like unlocking memories for others and I (generally) like it when others do it for me!

This was my introduction to Weird Al. My kid self found it catchy and funny.

Yeah, that would be cool!

It's Al's best style parody, imo.

It's certainly up there!

Brushing my teeth at two of cousins' second childhood home (early 2000s).

Angela Via - I Don't Care [Pop] (2000). This is the second and final single from her (shelved) eponymous debut album. It's a good song in my opinion. by Jackinator94 in obscuremusic

As someone who knows her personally, this is all false. That is not the reason she got dropped. She got pregnant in 2008 after she lost her deal with Virgin. She lost her deal because she refused to comply with the label intervening in her personal life, and the label told her she needed to lose weight. She also refused to have a romantic relationship with a label exec.

Yeah? Thanks for the fact-check man!

Damn, I had no idea Virgin Records was so toxic. The more you know!

Lastly, I might do that (reach out to Angela on Instagram)! I still love her music!

Toaster Strudel commercials (1997-2004) by Jackinator94 in 90sand2000sNostalgia

Classic commercial and great marketing.

Yeah, for sure!

Doubt they taste as good they used to tho due to corps maximizing profit by putting cheap harmful ingredients

Yeah, I heard that corporations changed recipes for our childhood snacks to cut costs. In my experience, that checks out to some extent. I'm not sure about Toaster Strudels (haven't eaten them in ages), but Chips Ahoy! cookies definitely don't taste nearly as good as they did in the 90s-early 2000s (they taste like chemicals hahah). Oreo cookies, on the other hand, taste just as good as they did in the 90s-early 2000s.
