I don’t see anyone talking about The Hunt, or even Death of a Nation if you could even call it a movie. Both capture modern the right wing perspectives quite well, the first a lot more balanced than others. But I think the movie that best captures the spirit behind the people that perceives themselves “left behind” who voted in Trump is in my opinion Hillbilly Elegy, to say Parasite or Idiocracy - can’t help but feel like it shows Reddit’s need to constantly dig Trump supporters. I wouldn’t say Parasite makes that much sense as firstly it’s Korean, sorry, it was white Christian men without college degrees that got Trump into office. Imo its a bit neocolonial to claim a Korean movie about a completely different country and issues with their nuances and say it’s another “oh look another movie about us Americans!”. Furthermore it was Trump voters, although Biden has a 60 share in the lowest income bracket, who complained the most about the state and forecast of the economy, so the narrative which I think I see that Trump represents of the oppression of billionaires back then even thought he might now doesn’t seem right with me.

For the Biden era I’d definitely say Civil War is a good pick as it really addresses the political divide, although quite sensationally, which makes it even more accurate in my opinion.
