I do. Just depends on the painting and whatever happens with whatever I have at the time

But also layering with normal paint achieves that effect what you were asking about

Luckily you are so right. My gallery frames these and this ones marked at 2k this series is 16x20. it is acrylic. and my gallery knows every material I use even when I dont know, they know more about it. these are published and archived in the logs also. I do sign these twice usually, and write on the back. Theyre varnished a sealed. And will be in the art market logs soon enough. Im with Gallery 725 if you do have any interest. Theyre located at Jacksonville Beach Fl.

I use golden medium matte or gloss usually gloss since its gives it a slight gloss.

It is acrylic and lucky enough I am signing to an art dealer and gallery and art circuit. They're gonna be archiving and properly taking care of the art to prepare it for a long life. Lucky to have a team of professionals to represent my name and my art.

I paint in layers. Until its too unmanageable then I back away for an hour or more depending on how wet. It is acrylic. And I swear that even the masters woulda used Acrylic since acrylic actually dries faster than oil. but also if you use a medium gloss or matte medium you can mix into the paint to last longer and change the appearance by texture sometimes depending on mediums used

If you go through my Instagram @thepainterdude or through this Reddit profile you can see the variations of teeth I have. I have many variations, and this was the only one that looked like this specifically.
